And there is nothing TRD about the TRD PRO appearance package. ;) Well maybe the sorta ok Fox shocks that will wear out at 50,000 miles.

ya told dealer not rollin with 20s , I’ll bring the wheels, you order the tires i want, mount, balance etc and you keep the rest of the stock stuff , I was fine with that setup , easy and done before you take delivery. Running boards I didn’t even care about , have to have them off , keep em.

Ya I like sleek and understated look , no chrome , etc

i would have to think long and hard about selling with the sound system, but all other mods would just go with it.

I have almost all of those items (except of course the Pro exclusive items) on my SR5 based (TRD Sport) truck, and almost all the ones that I don't have are available options.

The Pro is special, but not significantly more special than any of the other trims. Not to badmouth your truck, just the way it is.

And the TRD PRO is not standard either. It's what??? a $10-15K appearance package "upgrade"?

The TRD P is not a standard build.

I wouldn't own a Tundra if they didn't have the TRD PRO. I have a 17 with the Bilstein shocks. I love the truck. 55K miles so far. IMO the PRO suspension is heads and shoulders over the others on and off road

This thread has had so many derails but always gets back on track with each little rumor or spy shot.

The Fox kit is great. It works with stock UCAs and oversized tires on stock wheels. That’s why I put it on my SR5 :headbang:

I think until recently you had to go to Limited to get heated seats, which made me hesitant to look at the Tundra when it came time to buy.

I’m in no way trying to say my truck is amazing, or special in any way. I was just trying to explain how the TRD Pro is now built off of the Limited trim, and no longer the SR5 Trim.

You must have only read a couple of my posts, and not seen what the original conversation was about. Regardless, what I mean by a “Standard Build” is the standard equipment that comes with each trim without any additional packages, or accessories added to them. The TRD Pro is a trim in and of itself.

I had a 2013 Tundra for many years. Replaced it with a 2018 RAM w/ lots of bells and whistles. Replaced the RAM with my 2020 Tundra.

Bingo ! .. my concern is throwing on the brakes in a situation where you don't want that to happen. Make it an option or have a real shut off for those of us that pay attention and don't live in our phones.

I always told myself I would never buy new but if this 2022 lives up to the hype I have created in my mind then I just might have to.. If only they would give some freaking info! I feel like an addict the way I check this forum ahah

And the Limited is built off the SR5 platform. Nothing is different with these trucks other than the gizmos and gadgets added to "luxury" an SR5.

    Well....

I heard from a VERY reliable source

The new tundra has been delayed!

Something to do with all of the flat-earthers not being able to agree on towing another space shuttle!

I kid...the suspense is getting annoying

I would say that all Tundra's are are built off the same platform or platforms, (crew max or double cab). Then broken down into the various trim levels, then personal options are added. JMHO

I’m not sure of the current year features however when we purchased a 2018 Prius for my daughter the plug in Prius Prime was a joke. It got a whopping 25 mile on electric. That’s barely enought to get to the gas statio.s if they want to offer a plug in, they need better than 25 miles

Yeah I looked at the a prime a few months ago while I was waiting to pickup my truck. It wasn't that impressive for range.
However, if the future Tundra can compete with Rivian/Tesla as a downgraded alternative to a full EV (with obviously better range) well then they might be on to something.

Ha! So true. Especially now in winter. My wife has a Bolt EV and the summer range is around 260 miles. Right now with cold weather maximum charge is about 175 miles.
