So I start my unexpected vacation today. The wife and I got tested Friday and she is positive and I’m negative. I was told by the hospital that I have to quarantine 10 days after she test negative. So it will be about 20 days. Thanks china. We both feel ok. A few home projects are on the list.

This really sucks Bill. The wife and I went through the same thing in December I was able to cut my time off by testing positive and then negative ten days later so I was out of work for 12 days

Prayers that it’s very mild for your wife and you don’t even have to deal with it

    Morning Rosy

    Morning Jim

Well, I fucking tried at least. This shit we get here isn’t snow, it’s slurpee slush and the instant it’s under your tires it packs to wet ice. A neighbor plowed our road yesterday morning (down to about 2” deep from 10-12”), then we got 6” more on top of that and then it warmed and started to rain on it. So there’s about 6” accumulation of thick slushy shit.

Made it out my driveway (750 ft). Made it 1/4 mile down ourthe private road to the one good sized hill and about 1/2-way up it. Ass end drifted out and that was it. Got chains on the rears and managed to get out to the mail box in 4Lo to turn around and come back to the house. Plugged in and am trying to work from home.

My “almost” son-in-law got out this morning in his lifted Subaru Legacy wagon and made it all the way to his work (not far from my office) to discover they had closed shop for the day because nothing down in town is plowed. So he came back home about the time I was getting my chains on.:mad:

I wish we got this holiday off. Would have been nice to stay home one more day and not deal with this crap. Hopefully your drive gets better, we know it won't, but we can be hopeful.

Having whiskey in my coffee while trying to sit through web training this morning...a perk of having deal with that shit first thing. I should have just not tried to go into the office to start with. But we'll give it another shot tomorrow. At least we have power, unlike a LOT of people in Portland (including many that work for me).

No power would suck. Hopefully that gets restored soon. I am honestly surprised we haven't had outages over here. At least not that I am aware of.

Yeah, but this one was the closest I've ever come to missing a flight. And I purposefully chose a flight with a couple hour layover to account for this crap. If only the pilot would have taken off when he friggin said he would! I wish Delta flew to more ski resorts AND had competitive pricing for them! I've never had any issues like this with Delta. American and United are HORRIBLE!
