Good Morning Bryan, Casey, Adam, Jim, Kyle, Travis, Rich, Matt, Matt, Denise, Bree, and all the rest of y'all!

Had the closest call I've ever had to missing a flight Saturday night. The plane boarded but then we just sat for over an hour and a half in Hayden, CO. The pilot told us early on that were were next in line for de-icing, then we would be taking off. But we watched as four other planes went ahead of us, then we still didn't move. I strongly suspect that there were maintenance issues that United was trying to keep secret. But a little honesty goes a long way, in my opinion. Anyway, we were VERY worried about our connecting flight in Houston, ESPECIALLY with the ice storm coming into Houston later that night.

We arranged with the flight attendant to be among the first off the plane because we had to run from E17 to C42 - and there's no moving walkways on that path! I haven't sprinted that far in several years, and I STILL haven't! I had to slow to a fast walk near the end

because I pushed too hard to begin with (getting old SUX!), but we just made it as the last passengers to board. The rest of the flight was uneventful except for my discomfort due to sweating from the run.
