I found this new concept Toyota Tonka Hilux designed for Australia. The report I read said the Toyota Hilux was the number one selling vehicle in Australia last year. They are looking at building a new model like this for that market. They installed a 6" lift kit & metal undercarriage plating for off-road. Not usually a yellow fan but this truck looks sick! I wish they offered it for the USA! Would you buy this truck if it came to the USA?IMG_6684.jpgIMG_6683.jpg IMG_6685.jpgIMG_6686.jpg IMG_6687.jpgIMG_6688.jpg IMG_6690.jpg

    Awesome rig for sure.
The problem with answering the question, "would I buy one", is that it's so heavily modified I'm completely unsure what a market release would look like or cost. Do I want one? Hella yes!

Let's just pretend budget isn't an issue and dream for a bit. It's a concept so you know they didn't have a budget. Concepts almost never come to market the way they are shown. I'm sure the truck shown has over a 100k in their build budget.

That truck is all over the internet now. They are really promoting it. I think it looks awesome and would definately be interested in getting one.

The stance makes it look like it's long travel. I could probably do w/o the Tonka theme. I wonder how hard it would be to import one?

Not exactly what my daughters are hoping for. I've only got about a 1.5 yrs 'til we'll be looking for something for my oldest. I wouldn't mind seeing 'em in toyota trucks though, pretty safe vehicles in my opinion.

BA! Do I want one? Yes. Would I trade my Tundy for one? Nope. There's a reason I left my Taco behind for more room and power. But if it came here, would it replace the Taco?
