According to SPC when I inquired are made in the US and being they are a hybrid tubular/forged arm they are done here with Canadian steal.
While lots of things are made in China lots are not and everyone is seeing supply issues. Many folks that don’t use the Chinese metal comes from Canada and they were shut down as well.
It just shows the less we buy from China the better off we will be.
Just like becoming energy independent kept gas prices down. Now that we are forcing ourselves to rely on others oil look where it is headed.

When I was researching my suspension I inquired about where their things were made as they kept alluding to Australia and they have a big following in Australia. So I asked and they told me they were made in China.

As for not caring about where they are made this Covid business sure has shown us how overly dependent we are on China’s manufacturing.

I understand somethings we have absolutely zero choice in whether they come from
China or not. But when given a choice of a product that comes from The US or any other country I will go with what did not come fro
    China.

    yup. Same.

They lied to you. I asked them and they told me their components are made overseas and assembled in the US.

And trust me, the issues are so much deeper than China vs US made. If you’re that concerned then stop using your phone. I own a small business in addition to being an attorney.

Our products are 90% North American made (Canada and US), and the quality in the US plants are so much less refined than China.

Don’t rip China until you know how good they are.

Well I can’t say where they are made for sure. I’m just simply stating what they claim. They have a huge following in Australia cause that’s where they started.

If you want some incredibly badass looking/performing UCA that are made in the USA then check out 74Weld. I have zero experience with them. Just that I stumbled on a post on here about them. Went and checked out their website and IG. They are going to be about twice as much as Ironman.
This is what lead to my not caring where they were made comment. I completely agree with you that we are way to dependent on other countries for products. But the average person won’t use them as aggressive enough to justify the added cost.

To remove the Tundra and people’s feelings let change the product to regular old cast 45# Olympic plates. Just about every company that sells fitness equipment sells plates/bumpers made in China. The average price for a pair of 45’s is about $90-100(steel not bumpers)

Rogue decided to bring a bunch of manufacturing back to the US due to Covid. Their 45# deep dish plates are $155/pair plus astronomical shipping costs. Is it worth the extra cost if the plates are the same diameter and within 1% weight tolerance of each other? Probably not. But the Rogue ones sure look cool as shit.

I think you missed the part where I said I understand that sometimes we have no choice but to go with Chinese manufacturing. That is why it is so important to do as much business with folks that are not China.
It also go far beyond the facility or quality being churned out in China. It goes that China has our country by the balls and it is only going to get worse until we break our dependence on them.
Just like how OPEC used to crush us and have every say our gas prices. I have not even heard a word about OPEC in like 5 years and has had dwindled down around $2.00.
Now with the domestic cut backs in gas and oil things will change dramatically.

The Chinese already hold so much of our country’s debt alone then add in the shear reliance on them for nearly everything. the Covid has proven that China is an absolute choke point for product production across the board that it is flat dangerous especially if a true issue were to arise.
While folks were able to pivot and make something’s there are some industries that would nearly have to start from zero.

Yes, there are quality products coming from China but if that same product also comes from the states especially I am going with that. If more folks thought this way may not be too far off from having a phone built in the states again.

Domestic cuts in oil production came because two countries flooded the market and drove oil futures to nothing.

Exactly. It’s not the US’s doing.

On the business end, outside of politics, China and the US are so intertwined it’s unfathomable that anything will change, ever.

Without the US, China is nothing, and vice versa. The news and pundits will tell you otherwise, but I work with Chinese/American companies and we need each other.

do you want to pay 50-70% more for every product just so robots in the US can make the same product for you? Manufacturing jobs aren’t a thing anymore, and if they are, they’re quickly being automated.

    Ironman balljoint angle-- 78 Degrees
    Icon Delta Joint-- Not sure
    SPC UCA-- 80 Degrees.

Ironman is right up there with all of them, and requires no maintenance...

These are intended to get your caster back into spec correct once suspension is lifted and specified OE castor can’t be acheived?

Depending on your intended use, there’s some benefit to the material being used (weight and strength)

Digging up an old thread here. Any more folks out there give these UCA's a try? Impressions? I'm looking at the Foam cell pro struts, and these seem like the obvious UCA's to compliment these.

I really like this UCA, but I think it is a bit overpriced, $800+. Around $500 would be perfect. I'll be waiting for a sell.

They were okay until the ball joints made noise 300 miles on, I ended up giving them the whole kit back and going a different direction.

Have had the wife’s kit installed since Aug. 2020. Not 1 single problem. Only had it aligned after install. Still going awesome. Between 25-30k miles on them.

I will look into the recall. They are less than 2 miles from me, so may have the ball joints swapped at a later date.

Thanks for the update. Man, trying to find quality UCAs that don't fall apart quickly seems impossible.

I’ve had great luck with my Spc’s so far, just make sure to grease the ball joint before you drive.
