So, I recently got out of a company truck and bought a tundra. Never really maintained the work truck myself; company truck had a company mechanic did all the work on that tired busted Ford platinum.

This coming week is supposed to be cold just like last week. Single digits and what not.

    do people still use heet?

I assume your talking about the gas treatment, if so your just adding more alcohol to your fuel with heat.

Back when gas was gas not 10% ethanol it was helpful but now not so much.

I normally run mid grade thru that 5.7, I fill up with every 8 -10 days on average.

I didn’t know if people still use that stuff. When I was at Walmart they did not have a lot left on the shelves.

I’ve been told recently to get the red bottle of heet, and use 1 bottle for a every 20gallons.

    I don’t need any problems when it’s 5 degrees!

    thanks

Never have used the stuff and I've lived in Alaska and Montana but I did plug them in over-night.

Don't bother. Using 10% ethanol the truck will start up fine in -40 degree weather. That's the best I have personally done. Limiting factor is normally the battery in cold temps

Alright, but thanks. I’ll save the money and buy more rum.

As stated there is already too much alcohol in our fuel, don’t make it worse.
