I tend to think so. I imagine if you were sitting idle for a long period of time, it may heat up, but that’s not good for your cats anyways.

Ok!! Just had the closest call one could have to having their poor Tundra try and kill itself.

Confused? It’s ok I would be too. Really wish I could post video in here but I don’t have a YouTube or whatever.

So you can see on the ground where the tires were when I got home from work. And then where I found my truck 2 hrs later. Turns out it took about 6 minutes to make this trek by itself without permission.

Yes she is on flat ground in “Time Out” and chocked in case she wants to be unruly again. Hope you guys are staying safe.

Thankfully somehow not a scratch on either.

Good coating of snow in Portland today. Great time to run in 4x4. It s amazing how much difference it makes. What s also amazing is the crazy folks who have no clue, or don t care about the danger they pose to others. Defensive driving is a must.

Oh that sucks. Way back in the day I had an 83 3/4Ton Chevy on 39.5’s. I parked it on a hill against a curb at a friends house. Not 10 seconds later it slipped out of gear and the only thing that stopped it from hitting their 68 Chevelle was the pine tree in the front yard. Thank God!!

I don’t know what this incline is in my driveway but the last big winter storm a few years ago a coworker drove to my house from Newberg and parked. The 20ish feet into my RV driveway was the worst part of his commute. He got out and his Passat started sliding down the driveway.

This was my first time in snow with this Tundra. I was a bit nervous as it was also the first time going into 4wd with this transfer case. Mine was replaced under warranty at like 1500 miles. Also has stock tires. 4wd high and some extra space and zero problems. But I did head into work at 4:30 this morning. Not many people out...except an ass hat in a Jeep that ran a red light and almost T boned the Explorer in front of me.

Edit: Also took the wife out in her 4Runner to get practice in the snow. First time in this runner with these tires. To bad we didn’t get stuck. I’d like to play with that crawl control.

I know! I like those neighbors.

So many of us stuck working from home anyway and would probably enjoy a nice snow day, but nooo, we get a dusting and sheets of freezing rain to cover it all up!

Happy Friday everyone. We got about half an inch overnight and most of it has melted now. Pissed. Maybe 2-3” tonight with will make the kids happy.

@Juanjoolio007 I made the stuffed pork loin for the BoringBowl last weekend. No bacon as we planned to pound the loins flat and then do a full roll-up. Loins where too small, so just fulled and smoked. It was pretty good. Will
Make a few adjustments next time. C6C4D297-B5B3-4FE9-8413-152B8CD45819.jpg 4E6249FD-6C67-4FA5-8404-4E421F68504A.jpg

That still looks Awesome! I really like that recipe.
I just tried one of his other ones. It was good but nowhere near as good as that one. This one was Dijon mustard binder, bbq seasoning, bacon wrapped, maple glaze. The wife worked late that night so I smoked it longer then I wanted, and it was thick cut bacon. If I do it again I’d do the regular bacon, bacon weave and not stone ground Dijon. But I think in order it’s another flank steak roll up, and that cream cheese, jalapeño one before anything else.

I know it’s a bit more spendy...but I seriously like the Spiceology seasonings.

    Edit: And they are local.

Hasn’t stopped snowing at my house since yesterday around 4. Lots of blowing/drifting, but about 6” accumulation. Thankfully I don’t have that frozen rain bullshit.

My advise is to stay away from hills in this stuff even though you can manage them many can t. What s worse is ice which going to happen over night here.
It s starting to sleet right now here. Times like thios is when you find a safe spot near a hill, and watch.

Yeah. I’m at 1000 ft and up NE of the La Center (Ilani Casino) exit off I5. It hasn’t gotten above 28 since yesterday morning, so up here it’s just dry soft powder. I’ll stay up here for as long as I can...

Forcast 8 days ago was 25”. Then reduced to 16”. Now they say maybe 6” by tomorrow morning. We did get about 2” last night and it stayed cold (in the 20’s) all day. We really want more snow!

I've been pleasantly surprised with the amount of snow actually. It has been snowing almost non-stop for 36 hours here and is still going.

Out doing donuts today, I don’t know how to up load though. Hit a logging trail enjoyed the day.
General Grabbers did very well, sure it could be different if it was solid ice. Work is shut down due to weather, going fishing tomorrow at day light. 7AC3CA76-59C9-4112-A172-9672251AA01C.jpg

Put the first good scratches on the truck. Turned off the nannies and spun it around in my cul-de-sac. Swung the rear into a neighbor’s giant hedge that’s trimmed up right to the road. No damage to hedge, but there are some nice thick branches that kept some paint. Oh well....most of it should buff out.

Also took my son out to drive in the snow. Had him lock up the brakes and spin out in an intersection so he could get a feel for it all. Then just did a normal drive but in 4wd. He did great!

Actually, speaking from experience, we regularly would only get about 2 weeks of winter...............

    In Arizona!

Just did the same thing with my younger brother. Went through everything, traction control on/off, 4wd, 2wd, auto LSD, all in an abandoned parking lot to stay away from everyone else.

Yeah I understand being leery of them but I really want to have a big nav system for exploring. I have considered mounting a tablet around my dash to accomplish. I had my daughter hot link my cell phone to my tablet so I could use the tablet in the truck, but this would clear clutter. I am also looking to mount a GMSR radio. By the time I am done I think I won't be able to see out the windsheild.
