I have two titanium sporks that cost me <$15 each. (technically, one was free as it was a gift)
I usually keep it in my center console for silverware emergencies. Inexpensive and reusable and versatile.

 

I don’t think I could live in Minnesota without a garage to keep my truck and a giant space heater. It’s bad enough working here in 30F temps.

I used to keep just regular silverware in the center console. I'd wash it after every use, and return them to their ziplock bag that was changed out after one week.

 

Noah, how long do you think you'll be stuck in the hotel? How are you boiling water or does a microwave do the job?

 

I thought about switching to 0w-30, but it's hard to find, and Rotella isn't offered in 0w-30.

 

You're more civilized than I am.
I generally wipe the spork with the napkin I likely didn't use and toss it back in the console.
Sometimes, I just wipe it with my shirt before I eat if it's got anything visible on it.

I believe that your immune system needs to be challenged to be healthy.
I also believe that humans survived for ~100,000 years without soap. I still wash my hands, but I don't freak out about germs.

 

Microwave does fine for ramen. At work we have a Curtis coffee pot station thing with a hot water tap that's just below boiling. I can have ramen hot'n'ready in 90 seconds. Lol

We are all working Saturday whether it's our day off or not. Sunday is up in the air. I expect volunteer basis.

Sunday night they are calling for 1 to 3 inches of snow.

Monday/night an additional 3-5 inches.

I'm hoping to be able to scoot home Sunday morning after work. They can kiss my ass once the snow hits.

I do see a lot of 'salt life' stickers out here and the ocean is a forking thousand miles away. I have to assume they're talking about road salt.

 

I always think how sad their life must be, maybe making it to the ocean once, maybe twice a year.

If I ever move back to where they salt roads I'll be investing in one of these....

I see a lot of salt life stickers here and when I talk to them they rarely go to the beach. We are 20 minutes away.

In other local news, the poodle who is staying at my house until... maybe June, has proved to be very mathematical. He has been pooping exactly 5 feet away from my patio and almost exactly 5 feet distance between each turd. I counted 4 turds in this arrangement today, he finally veered off to poop by a fish tank that I just cleaned.

Dogs are strange. Maybe his poop is socially distancing.

 

Hasn't been above freezing here in a couple weeks and most of the washes close when it gets colder. The ones that don't end up with a 30 minute wait.

 

Someone brought some salt life dudes along on a trip one time. They all looked and talked like they were on meth and literally did nothing but fish.

How do the Patagonia MTs handle in snow? I've seen those tires gain significant popularity due to their price over the last couple of years.

 

fantastic. I'd say they do as good as my Kuhmo AT51s did, and much better in deep snow.

 

I saw a guy on Tacoworld say those were a horrible tire for him. He stated they started out great and then got terrifying after a few thousand miles. The tread design looks really bizarre to me. No offense.

I'm just not willing to try and save a few bucks on something like tires. I made that mistake once with our beater Corolla and vowed to never do it again.

I take TW input with a grain of salt these days. 90% of the people on there buy shit because it looks cool, cannot drive, and sell their trucks 2 years later. Curious if you can reference the review, though. I know Milestar makes a wallet friendly option / I've always been curious. People even throw the Patagonia MTs on rock crawlers. The tread pattern is interesting for sure, but I'd be willing to bet they perform better in snowy conditions than the Toyo MT slippers I have. I'm just patiently waiting for the day I glide uncontrollably into oncoming traffic

yeah idk. I've got about 5,000 miles on mine. they've been fantastic as far as grip is concerned. Loud as hell, and not a smooth ride, and lots of rolling resistance though. I did hours of research on them before I bought, and never really heard anything bad about them.

 

Appreciate you tracking down quick. I suppose I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.... BUT - no photos of tire wear to reference and admits he smashed through an abnormal amount of water at highway speeds (which is going to hydroplane no matter what tire you have). Again - it's a friggin mud tire, not a highway tire. Everyone has their opinions based on personal experience. I hate Duratracs because they shred like paper, but a ton of people have them.

 

Good points. And that may be a great tire for all I know. I'm just turned off by how odd they look.

I'd like to eventually run something like this Yoko Geolander M/T but I haven't researched them at all.




We have a member that runs 37" Yoko's on his rig and it looks awesome.
