    Hey guys and gals
I am long time tundra owner. I just purchased a 2020 and I am searching for a solution to a big problem for me and maybe others as well. At the very least this might educational. My previous tundra had a backrack I used for moving ladders around. Unfortunately the new design of the box and the placement of the shark fin restricts the use of a backrack. My question to you is I need to elevate my existing backrack 2.5 inches to clear the navigation/ antenna which is called a shark fin, or find another style that fits with the TOYOTA OEM Tonneau cover. Which Toyota Customer service has no idea who manufactured it..
Crazy I know. I have spent more looking for a solution then buying the truck, I am resisting the option of Thule wing bars, the ladders are heavy and tying the down will challenging at the end of along day.
If anyone has experienced this frustration please shoot me a response.

    thanks

Can you get some sort of spacer to put on top of the back rack and under the ladder. The ladder would be angled and higher in the front but shouldn’t be by much. Something like a rubber block with one side cut to slip over the back rack.

Thanks for reaching so quickly. Yes that is one option. One other issue I have is the tonneau cover I need to shim it up about 3/4 in to clear the cover. Which I don’t mind. But your right a steel shim on the bottom and a rubber top on the rack is my only option to this point. I will change my name to Magiver.lol

They have some good looking equipment and say they will do custom work as well. Never used them but it looks good.
