Picked up a 2021 a few weeks ago. Anyone found a winter front? I want something more substantial for mounting than the adhesive mounting of the fia ones. Also can't block the radar in the emblem. I can't be the only one looking for a winter front, what is everyone else doing?

I honestly never see gas trucks with covers and its pretty cold here.
I had one for bugs before, worked amazing.
Im sure any upholstery shop could whip you up something.

Not gonna lie. I had to google a winter front. I don't think i've ever seen a truck with one. Do they really make a difference?

They make a huge difference, I've always used them on my vehicles in the winter. Will depend on where you live and what winter temperatures look like for you though.

Ah the things I learn. I had no idea. I'm in NE Ohio. lowest we see on a normal basis is around single digits at night.

I regularly see colder temps here in North Dakota. I think you'd notice a difference too, but like anything else, it's a personal preference. I'm really hoping to find one.

Good Luck. I haven't heard of anyone on here with one but hopefully someone chimes in with something for you.

I've been thinking about that too, hoping to avoid the cardboard route, and don't want to make removal of the grill a seasonal activity.

Was a must for my 07 Duramax, not sure it's needed on a gas motor?

I've never seen one on a reasonably modern gasoline engine. I would be surprised if you could find one. I suspect that your best bet is custom.

I'm next door to you, OP, in northern Minnesota. This is definitely some nasty weather. Several -30 mornings lately, and wind chills around -50. My Tundra warms up pretty quickly with no grill cover, but if I wanted it to warm more quickly in the morning I'd install a block heater and keep it plugged in, even in the garage. Once my truck is warmed up I have to turn the heat down.

Hope you find what you're looking for!

    OP, try www.gofia.com

if it's cold enough it can happen, my Outback was actually losing temperature while moving during one of the coldest snap couple years back, I had to put cardboard in front of the radiator since inside wouldn't heat up.

I had a Honda like that back in the 90s. The clutch would get more difficult to depress as I drove and easier if I let it sit and idle. I probably should've flushed the clutch master under the premise that the fluid had likely absorbed some moisture.

I talked to Fia, they sent me these pics, comes with both stick on and screw mount snaps. Bug screen also comes with the winter front. Not sure if I'm going to try it but am sharing this for anyone else that may be looking, the pics are nice to see. Note that the top snaps mount to the hood, I'd probably try to tuck it under and mount so they wouldn't have to be unsnapped to open the hood.image001.jpg image002.jpg image003.jpg image004.jpg
