Tint completed this week. 20% in back, 30% in front. Pics after everything was cleaned up. Kinda wished I had gone darker (but would be illegal) on the front.

Finally, changed my mind on the suspension, primarily for $ reasons and I won't be doing a whole lot of offroading. Going with 5100s all the way around for now. Front will be at the top setting (2.5"). Possibly a Coachbuilder +1 or +2 shackle in the rear. Hope to get this installed during Spring Break this week.

Interested to hear your feedback on how the ride compares to the stock Platinum suspension. I was thinking about going with 6112's in front, but since I don't do much off roading, now re-thinking about going with the 5100's up front on the middle setting to level out some while leaving a little rake. I want to go with the SCS SR8 wheels when they become available in late April or so.

Did you install the morimoto fog lights? If so, how easy is the wiring?

It's plug and play. You just have to insert the connectors into the supplied plug on the fog light end.

5100s installed this week. Rides great. It is stiffer, but in a good way. Feels more solid. Definitely not a loss of comfort. It seems perfectly level. When driving, I can see how it may seem a little nose high, just because the truck may rock back a little. Will probably add a shackle in the rear to add a slight rake.

@hdfanatic Looks good. Did you put the 5100s on middle or top setting? Also, are your tires 275/70s or 275/65s? Thanks.

@hdfanatic. Looks great and good to hear the ride is more solid while still comfortable. I think I am going the same route with 5100s all around. Will have fronts set on middle and leave the rears the same as stock which should get me a mild level with less rake and look better than stock.

Sounds like a plan. You won't be disappointed. I went ahead and ordered the Toytec adjustable shackle and poly bushings today to re-add some rake to the rear.

Thanks @hdfanatic. I may go a similar route with 5100s at some point, still trying to decide on mid or top setting.

Installed Toytec shackle at 1" setting. I like the stance where it's at now. Just needs tires and will be close to calling it complete.

All suspension work was done at Texas Off-road and Performance in Manvel, TX. Highly recommend these guys, very knowledgeable with the offerings on the Tundra and very quick installations. www.toandp.com

So it's been a few months, but finally got new shoes. Terra Grapplers G2 295/70R18. Looks great now. Still would like to move them out a bit with some spacers or possibly rims, but for now I'm satisfied. Only rubbed the skid plate on both sides. Just rolled up the skid plate until it no longer touched.

I've been running the tune now for about 3 months. No issues of note. If you drive like a normal person would, the change is subtle, but noticeable. If you punch it, it is so much fun. There's a definite change in the transmission shifts. Very quick and precise during acceleration. I would definitely do it again.

Now I'm just looking for a way to update my speedo to compensate for the larger tires.

Thanks for the info. My tuner should be here by the end of the week. Did you get any MPG gains, or has it stayed the same?

As far as updating your speedo, the Hypertech Speedo Calibrator is the only way I'm aware of. I just installed one a couple weeks ago. Pretty easy install. Takes maybe 20-30 minutes the first time if you've never taken your dash apart. One piece of advice I can give on when installing the calibrator, leave the USB cable attached to it, and try to find a way to run the cable underneath your dash, so that you don't have to take everything apart again when you need to update for a change in tire size or gear ratio down the road. I went up from a stock tire size to 295/70r18, and the speedo was too fast after the first calibration. Had to adjust it a few times. I think my final inputs into the calibrator were 32.1" as the stock size to 33.5ish (you can enter either type of tire measurement into the calibrator software, e.g 295/70/18 or 34.5, etc.)

I'm hoping the tune brings some pep back under normal driving. I might still do the gears sometime in 2018.

Do you have or did you watch a video on how to mod the skid plate. I am looking to mod mine to make some room for the 295/70's, although i have some 2" spacers i may want to use.

I haven't noticed any significant MPG gains. It's the wifes daily driver, so when I get a chance to drive it, I drive it for fun! I'll look into the Hypertech. I have the same size tires as you.

If you use the 2" spacers with 295/70, you won't have to touch the skid plate, but you will have to trim the plastic in the bumper, and maybe BMC. All I did was take a pair of pliers to the edge of the skid plate where the tires were touching and bent it back in towards the engine. No instructions involved. Had I installed my spacers first, I wouldn't have had to mess with the skid plate.
