Remote start with running lights on.

Hey all! I’m new to the Toyota Tundra world. Came over from an 18’ Ford F-150. Have a 21’ Toyota Tundra CM Limited TRD OR. I’m curious if there’s a way to enable the running lights to turn on when using remote start? Would like the ability to glance out to make sure the truck is indeed running. Thanks in advance!

 

Could you leave the headlight stalk turned to the park light setting? I realize this isn't running lights and you'd need to verify the lights go off when you shut the truck off but could meet the intent of what you're looking for.

 

Compustar. Mine did one install was complete. Is it installed yet?

 

Mine stay on when it’s on. I think it’s just my parking lights.

 

I have a compustar 2 way and running lights are on when the truck is on.

 

My remote start turns on parking lights (running, tails, license plate)

12 volt solutions.

 

Mine is some after market brand, but if I leave the light selector to off my running/ tail lights come on. If I leave on auto my headlights will only come on when dark or windshield is covered in snow.

 

With Compustar, it is actually one of the many options you can choose such as having running lights on or off. That can be done when you flash or reflash the module.

Just tonight as I came back to my work hub from Shreveport, I said "Hey Siri, start my tundra".
I saw her light up in the parking lot as the Drone mobile worked it's magic..
She ran 15 minutes in 27 degree weather and was warm when I got in..

Best thing about it, the engine didn't shut off when I opened the door..

OP, consider an aftermarket remote start, the OEM remote start stinks..
