@OVTune Mat, will this be possible?

 

Mat, Been a while since I've looked at this thread and trying to catch up on 20+ pages. I have sent you an email through zendesk, but thought this may be a good idea, as well. I've had your tune for over a year and love it (#5278). However, I did not receive an update with this latest round. My ECU is OCM51, and, based on my VIN, I do not need an ECU upgrade with the recall stuff. I'm most interested in:
- Direct Shift
- Full tunability of ECU and transmission

Please let me know if these things are available. Thanks.

 

there is a new calibration update from toyota, 0CM52, which we are working on trying to implement so everyone can update.

after previous year support 2020 and 21 will release at the same time.

At the moment I'm not entirely sure *why* the update exists because there isn't much info on techstream about these exact updates.
instead of going to the dealership we are working on an update method through our flasher.

0CD33 has no update thankfully.

 

Are you still doing 1 on 1 troubleshooting for features not working on some emu's like mine? Thanks.

Yes we are, right now I have to put a few things on pause until we get our flasher updated, which we have no choice due to piracy.

 

vF Tuner will be going through a major update this month.

During this time, there may be some days when
- information on our website may not be available / may be unable to load
- products on our website may be unavailable
- our credit server may be unable to be accessed (however we will try to keep it operational 99% of the time through this)
- zendesk / email ticket answers may be delayed (they are already because I'm STILL trying to catch up from December / January massive wave of new customers)


When this new update releases all Tundra calibrations will be available! (they are done already, we just need this update posted)

 

Nice! With the new ecu updates, will you be able to transfer the engine tune info from my old ecu program into the new one? Since we spent so much time getting my motor dialed in perfect, I would hate to lose that.

I just emailed Matt but maybe there's an easier way someone knows: can I convert P5F files to VFT/BIN? My system ID, calibration, etc. hasn't changed since I originally installed my OV Tune 18 months ago, and I now have VF Tuner and still have those old files but VFT won't open them. Is there a way I can convert them? Worst case I wait a bit for Matt to reply to my email, but was just curious if there's some trick I'm missing.

We are pretty much ready to release, we just need a few people to test on their end.
If you have our current flash kit / vF Tuner ****AND*** a 2018/2019 Tundra and would like to use our new flasher, please let me know.
Then we test on 07-17 and we are good.

All has been tested and confirmed on both of our in-house trucks.

I downloaded the program from your website and copy and pasted the master key and my email. I am getting an error message saying:

Master Key (Email) not recognized!

like I say I copied and pasted it and then tried just typing it all in. Am I doing something wrong?

 

Awesome. Thanks. Got it downloaded. If I already have the cable (I purchased Mat's tune over a year ago and got the cable and everything with my purchase), am I grandfathered in to use the VFTuner? Where do I find a Master Key?

 

This says page not found, but this was a "free" version of vF Tuner where you purchased it for $0 and if your email matched a previously purchased tune (I assume) then you were approved and sent an email with the master key. At least that's how it worked for me. Considering his website has been changed since that post to vftuner.com vs ovtuned.com, I suspect either that page didn't get moved over or is under a different link. I would email him, maybe through the email chain for your original tune.

 

You’ll have to message zendesk to upgrade. The upgrade links are gone cuz of too many new people ordering those accidentally instead of the normal flash kit

 

Thanks. Mat did say there would be some stuff not working for a bit while they get things lined out on the website. I'll sit tight and see how things are released. I do appreciate the help.

 

It sounds like 2021 (0CS90) calibrations will be included in this update! Does this mean tune packs will be coming back as well?

Hey all, what is the current flasher? Have been out of the loop for a bit, tried to do a reinstall and keeps giving me this

 

I had to remove the link for Tundra free update to vF Tuner because people were purchasing it (for $0) who weren't even customers at all, and demanding we give it to them for free.

We have the remaining ECUs about to go into this next release and we are all set for 2nd gen testing.

We also have a developer working with us right now that is creating a seam-less patching tool that will make patching, features, future patches so much easier and quicker (as opposed to how I originally did it, writing out machine code by hand).

 

Does this mean Tune Packs will be available for 2021 ECUs at that time or just that the base file will become read/write ready for people to tune themselves? I'll cross-post to the VFT forum as well in case you don't see it here.

 

I wouldn't try to do anything until Mat has everything updated, released and given the go ahead. Then you can update to the latest software version.

 

We need a Dummie's guide to VFtuner for Tundra.
