I'd recommend checking Auto Trader or Kijiji for private sales. Dealers always overcharge for used vehicles.

Not a single Tundra for sale privately in my area. When they do pop up they're priced as stupidly as the dealerships. Tundras aren't common here which makes it doubly difficult.

Yep. It's retarded. A brand new crew max TRD Off Road is $54K now. I'm really think about dumping $10K or so into my '05 and driving it forever. Katzkin leather, try to have a power driver seat installed, Toytec suspension, rebuild the front end, backup camera and a few other things. Bascially turn it into a new truck and forget about ever buying a newer one unless prices come down from outer space.

It took me a year of searching, checking autotrader and kijiji regularly. Then I had to go all the way to Calgary to get my Tundra. You'll find one you want, just gotta keep searching.

Not a bad idea just putting some upgrades into a truck you already have though. Make it a truck you love to drive and you don't have to stress about finding a new one.

It's nuts, just yesterday Mayfield Toyota offered me $31k for trade value, so you know they'd list it at 37+. And it really sounds like they're going to be in a crunch for getting trucks from Toyota so there's not much room for dealing - for a Platinum in MGM or red I'd have to wait a month or so before they could get one in, and that would be after re-routing it.

Winterpeg... I had a layover at the airport there in the winter once. 6 hour stop. I thought I'd go see stuff. What I saw was the snow piled up against the windows and the look of hurricane winds blowing snow and ice at -35 or so. I read a book in the airport lounge instead.

    So pretty low Ks...

I’ve been watching the prices on Tundras locally. They are definitely strong, even for a Toyota!

And I'm not even happy with it - they started at 28.5k but that was based on how I bought it with regular lights (I have LED's for headlights and fogs), regular sound system (I have T12V system), and the Diamondback tonneau - so nearly 6k in major upgrades and they only went up 3k.

Wish I could know how much that Tundra gets sold for at Sargent - throw in the TRD Pro rims and new AT3's I have and I'm pretty confident I could sell for 7-8k more than it.

I was asking them about leasing a 21 Platinum, but on a 3 year lease I would pay more than a GMC Sierra 3500 diesel Denali based on their website. There's just no dealing with them right now, the dealers appear to hold all the cards.

Yeah....you know it's cold when there is a weather warning right on my phone lock screen from Environment Canada.

I won't even get the dog out for a walk today (or yesterday), it's just too flippin' cold for a dog with no fat on her.

We are -30s at night and -25 during the day with day windchill values in the -40s.

Sunny and -28 (-42) right now.

Yeah. I’m sure you could do much better selling private. ‘15-‘17s are being listed for high $30k here. Some in the low to mid $40s. And all higher miles than yours, some more than double. Who knows how close to asking price they’re getting, but nothing seems to be sticking around long.

But even if a guy does sell for a great price, there isn’t much out there for reasonable value to replace it with.

The only thing I'd consider right now is taking the difference from what I sell to what I owe and using it as a down payment on a lease vehicle - likely either a Platinum Tundra or a GM HD. I figure 3 years from now we'd know if we truly need a second vehicle, and if we do then the next gen Tundra would have all the kinks worked out. Certainly don't want to sell mine, but I'm just kinda in that meh stage of owning it, and a new toy would be fun for a bit

I wish it was like that - it's only -25 here by Wawa but it's always windy and I can see Lake Superior from my current site so it's a very wet cold that bites so hard. I miss working in Alberta

The Edmonton Eskimos released the survey to pick their new name. I think I hate every choice they came up with.

There's nothing wrong with Eskimos. They can shove their virtue signalling up their ass.
