Over the past 2 years I have got to know a General Manager of a local dealership pretty well. His daughter cheers and plays soccer with mine. We were in Gatlinburg yesterday with them. He is actually a really good guy and a straight shooter. I was razzing him about the new Tundra. He said they know absolutely nothing. There has been no leaks or any information come down to the dealer. Usually they know something by this time of year for next year production. He said not a single leak, spy shot, anything has been conveyed to them. He was saying he heard some rumors that they were pushing back to 2023 as they can't even build as many trucks as they like for a new model release due to semiconductors, COVID, etc....

I am by no means an insider and know nothing. Just hope I am wrong but I would not be surprised if it was 2023 until official release.

It’s believable that the leaked commercial was planned for the SB, but now they don’t know when the new truck will be ready so they dont want to say anything too early.

Pretty creepy. Lots of masks. One of the worst ever!
Edit:I’m only watching this train wreck for the tundra commercial but it seems like a waste of time

If that’s the case it would be a smart play on their part. Just look at the catastrophe that the early hyped Bronco release has created. Those first customers won’t be seeing their orders for a year or more after deposit. And now with the chip thing, who knows.

Drove through "the largest Toyota dealer in mn" Rudy Luther...and did not see one new Tundra in the lot. Website says they have 5 ...3 show in transit. It appears Toyota is having a hard time keeping up as it is. Chips, parts whatever....so I would imagine it would be hard to build the 2022s....if in fact they are even ready to.

"Automotive Press" is reporting a release of details on the 10th. I'm not real sure of their reputation or reliability, but I'm pretty much at the point where I'll believe it when I see it.
