What did you pay for your 14-17 crewmax 4x4? Currently in the market for one. Local prices start at 30k from what I have been seeing (before negotiating). It almost seems like buying new might be worth it.

Picked up a 2017 1794 edition with 40k for 35k back in June. I traded in my 2012 DC which had 96k (trouble free) miles. Dealer gave me 13.5k for it. Love my 1794.

I reached the same conclusion and ended up buying new. I was in the market for used/CPOed low mileage 2016-2018s. After running the numbers and comparing new vs old, new put me with in 2K of used/CPOed, at the time.

If you go used, negotiating a private sale is probably your best bet. If you go through a dealer don't mention a trade in until they set a price on the truck you want. Use Carvana and Vroom to set a floor on your trade in. Both services have had a hard making offers that are consistent with the used market but their services are free and may beat your dealer trade in offer.

Yea I looked for months before finally just saying eff it and bought a new one. And that took some finagling to find one in the packages I wanted without a bunch of dealer added junk like 3000 dollar spacer lift.
