Only up to 02 they used that style. The newer trucks have a converter relay up in the dash

In one of those pics you can see a stump behind the truck. It looks a lot further away than it really is. I was stuck between the tree on my immediate right that I was sliding towards, or risk sliding backwards, perhaps uncontrollably into the stump, or other trees. There is more clay mud further on down the hill that starts about 3 feet in front of the stump.

I just decided to stop what I was doing, and wait.

Mancard deductions were made by pops as well.

It wouldn't help, he has a V6 so it would just slow him down.
:poking: jokes aside, some weight behind the axle may help but its a weird solve to live with. Maybe a few bags of sand for the winter and take them out in better weather would be okay.

From my experience when all terrains get caked you can only spin the shit out of them and hope the mud clears from the tread so you can bite. Of course, this will f up his yard.

Thinking about upgrading my suspension at some point, and im looking at king shocks for the front. What would you guys go with for the rear? Im not finding any kings that work for our trucks on the rear suspension.

Also regardless of what shocks i upgrade to in the rear I wanna add a new leaf pack. Any input on the best leaf pack for the rear? Deaver, archive garage? Thanks guys

Im leaning toward a progressive or linear style shock so any other reccomendations other than Kings would be nice too.

Yeah, they were caked. I just cut my losses, and saved on potential body damage. I could care less about the yard. I have a plan in the back of my head to mend that shit pit mud hole.

My 14.78 mpg is already bad enough. With current cost of gas thats $15 a day commuting to/from work.
    102 miles round trip.
3.45 gallons one way, 3.45 gallons back.
6.9 gallons a day at 60mph or below.
    Today...
    20210206_165345.jpg
221.7 miles to a little under half tank.

Supposed to get 3 inches tonight, and sequoia (4wd) is down for massive oil leak. So I have as many cinder blocks in the back that I could find that weren't busted up too bad. Couldn't find my bed board that goes in the bed liner slots.

may just sleep in the parking lot if it gets too slick.

It might be worth picking up a pair of Go Treads to keep in the truck. They work and cost the same as one pull from a Tow Truck. No man card deductions either.

I'm hoping to be a home owner by the end of this year, or the beginning of next. I wouldn't mind a change of scenery.

I'll have to do some research on employment options there for an industrial maintenance technician with 4 years of experience.

Maybe we could discuss in private benefits of K-ville. lol

Dumb question but leaving the charger in the ports doesn't drain the battery?

Unless modified those outlets don’t get power without the ignition in accessory

I've been noticing that when I start my truck, and leave... the D light on the dash is out.

Once the dash warms up the D light comes back on.

    Weird.

Yes. What Empty said. No drainage of the battery unless modified.

Those adaptors come in a few colors. This one is an all Red Aluminum body design with the blue light to match my dash lighting.

Battery was dead, took it in to get charged/ load tested under warranty, all good now. Went ahead and did some cleaning while the battery was out.

I have put in a few 12V outlets in my truck that are always hot. This is my latest one I put in yesterday with a dedicated 16 AWG wire to the battery with an inline 15A blade fuse. I also added a momentary switch and voltage meter so I can monitor the battery level when I'm boondocking.

The lowest voltage that I'm aware I've started it with was 11.4-11.5V, with everything else in the truck shut off. I have a Northstar 27F battery though which is $$$.

Not always hot on the 04 DCs at least.

That's where I have my satellite receiver plugged in since my wife and daughter can't seem to not kick the plug up front.

    Interesting...
I do know on the ‘06 it still has power after the switch is off. I haven’t stuck around to see if it would shut off after a few minutes (the way the windows still work afterward). That is way I said “seems” as I haven’t completely verified.

And I get the whole “watch your damn feet” thing too with passengers!

but don't live too close either. An hour away seems to be good. no popping in, but easy enough to come over. I find the call first makes the difference between too close & just right. YMMV.

Light bar & heated seats or n-Fab Nerf bars???

I have a little cash, want it all but can’t do it all right now. One of these will have to wait until next year.

I’ve already added the OEM switches but nothing else.
