We have two wieners. It's on top of a box suspended 5 feet from the ceiling 30 feet in the air...

No clue as to how it got there. Been there for long times.

When I was a young buck, life guarding was my game, life saving was my duty. We had a power pole across from one of the guard stands, I came back from vacation and there was a pigeon upside down, dead, with its feet melted across two hot lines. It stayed there all summer. A different summer we also found a “injured” pigeon near a trash can on deck, that looked like it lost all of its fluids or something? Later on, I shit you not, we found a peach pit right where the bird was with all kinds of bird juices on it.......

Did you ever save anyone from Drowning?

I’m a Lifetime Double Ace at least. Saved three people back to back one time when the beach guards couldn’t get to them. The first one was on her third and probably final sinking when I got her. Brought her onto the beach and being winded she barely could tell me two others were out there. The Sea was rough and hard to spot them.

Had another time where some goons got blown out into the Ocean on a raft. About 300 yards out the thing started deflating  and the 4 panicked. Two could swim, but the other two were flailing and their friends didn’t know what to do. Made it out with a board so they could rest on it. The other two swam to shore saving themselves.

I was not a Lifeguard ever, but just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Only time I nearly drowned real good was in a huge pool as a kid and a Guard got me fast. Had a couple other times in Large Surf where my life flashed before the eyes, but ended up saving myself. :puke:

Damn, world peace points double up!
I don’t think I ever had anything spectacular like that happen, only a few self drownings myself; once when my lil cousin jumped on me in the pool and once in Mexico with a crazy rip tide. I’m a good swimmer and I was dead by time I made it back to shore, in the mean time our friend that wasn’t a good swimmer decided to try to help us, maybe that was you on the beach that day, but some guy swam out and helped him in!
I did teach kids how to swim, so I’d like to think I helped save some lives! I also did BSA life guarding, but that was more of a joke than city life guarding.
One of my pools was in the hood, every Tuesday opening from the closed weekend, we would find sandals and beer caps everywhere!

but insurance is 20 bucks more a month just because it has an “s” badge. Looks like I’ll just convert mine to an S slowly

Gotcha.. just doesn't make sense why it does it only after a drive and a restart after the engine sits for 20 or so minutes. Normal cold starts it does fine. Truck runs great it's just has always had weird intermittent idle problems. I'll check into the injectors too as @empty_lord said

cold starts usually with a leaking injector are fine because the leaked fuel has evaporated. hot soak misfires from a leaking injector happen because the fuel has effectively flooded its cylinder

Yeah. Mexico has some serious Rip Tides on the Pacific Side. Also, the long period swell down there deceives swimmers because the Ocean will go flat for a long interval and the think they are safe and jump in. All of the the sudden, a long set comes in and they get pummeled/tired as the Rip from piled up waves sucks them out.

you know how the surf sucks the sand out from under your feet? Same seems to be happening with that truck. Each time he moved after hit by surf, the truck seemed to be bouncing out of pot holes. I'm sure if not washed away, the truck ended up in a hole on the Jetty.

-3 degrees today, this is the type of weather try not to start my truck in, but today I might start her up and go for a Sunday drive. The engine can handle it, just a few seconds of pistol noise

Derale Transmission Fluid Control Thermostat Project has commenced. Gonna be a tight fit putting it in. Key part is the 90° NPT 3/8 to 3/8 barb.

Need prayers to the Plumb Crack Gods that the 90° Threads tighten in the direction it needs to point.
