Bedliner on chrome grill?

Embrace the chrome!!!

 

Yea I just keep going back to order that color matched grill surround and hood bulge and just can’t hit the order button.

$500 just to color match the front is too rich for my blood.

I’ll have to find more photos of white trucks with lined grill surrounds and see if I like it. I’d rather put that extra 500 towards a new bumper.

The company that does BumperShellz is coming out with pieces to install over the chrome surround and bulge. They will have the black tpo option as well. I’m trying to decide if I want to go that route for around $200 or wait for them to get the Silver sky color matched for around $400. Not sure if I’d like the blacked out grille look on the silver tundra.

Yeah, I've been following them for a while. I was going to sign up for the testing group, but there is nothing wrong with mine right now and I couldn't justify disassembly and reassembly in -20 and risk breaking tabs.

I'm happy to report the DIY $50 version looks like it did when I first did it. Even through harsh winter. The overlay will be a bit more $$$ in Canada, everything is after shipping and conversion. So I'm glad I went this route and hope it stays in good shape for a long time.

I'm not a huge fan of completely color matched trucks and enjoy some contrast, at least in mine. So even if a color match was available for the same price as black on mine, I'd probably opt for black.
