I finally found a website for this company. They will ship worldwide. They actually make a lot of products for our trucks.

forgot to post this back in July but I got My BFB bumper and I'm loving it so much. I smile every time I walk out to this thing now.

 

Does anyone know what skids work with the addicted plate bumper? I really like the low profile of the bumper compared to the others in this thread but im not sure if i have to have a skid fab'd up or if one is already on the market. this is the setup im leaning towards but im not sure what brand the lights are either.

 

I have no idea. I don't know if we have any members running that bumper. You could try calling Addicted and see if they know.

 

Has anyone paid attention to mileage after adding a front bumper?

What sliders tuck up the best? I know that has a lot to do with the install, but some of these look like they are really hanging down low.

 

I saw no noticeable decrease in MPG after adding my bumper. I really don't think it's as heavy as some imagine. Maybe 40-50lbs more than the OEM bumper? My wife was able to lift one side up when I was doing my test run before actually installing it.

What do you mean by tuck up? Mine are nice and tight with maybe 1" gap between the slider and the rocker panels. They might stick out further(horizontally) than some prefer. Remember that there are only 2-3 companies offering sliders for our trucks so you don't have many to pick from. The sleekest I've seen are the ones @Swalters had made but I don't know if those were a one-off or not.

 

Also where our rocker sits in correlation with the frame rail, it’s not super easy to “tuck” them as you’d think.

 

Honestly I gained 1 mpg after putting my bumper on, went from 12 to 13 . And yeah its really not that much heavier than all the stock bumper and it's assorted bits.

 

About to pick up the ARB... hoping it’s not as ugly in person as it is in pics

Do you have a 1st gen? Haven't seen many people put them on a 1st gen.

I have mixed feelings on the Addicted plate bumper. I don't feel like it really flows with the tundra well. The tube version looks better to me.

It also requires a weld in cross member.

 

All, got the ARB front on. It was such a PITA to install between snapped rusted bolts, being a one man team, and them not providing the most important hardware, that I eventually threw my hands up and took it to a body shop, feeling pretty defeated and incapable. In colorful language, the gentlemen doing the install told me it was a real pain.

I knew the mounting brackets may need to be welded on. That’s the route he went.

I was a bit scared of how the bumper would look, I’m not gonna lie. But in person it looks great. I’m stoked. I love the integrated running lights and built in blinker (as seen in last two pics). I’ll be adding fog lights and some floods.

I don’t think the chrome will last very long. I’d like to paint it black. If anybody had recommendations for painting the chrome piece black, would love to hear!

You would have to make a custom skid plate

You could try Plasti-dip on it to test the Darkness before committing with paint. @FirstGenVol Did my bumper when it was his. Still looks good.

Cool! Kicking around ideas. I should clarify, when I said I don’t think the chrome will last long, I meant I don’t think I’ll keep it chrome for long. It’d probably last way longer than whatever I paint it with!

 

Yes, paint would last longer, and I get what you're saying.

The main attraction for plasti-dip is to try the color before painting. No real commitment as it comes right off, but only if you make it come off.

 

Nice. I like the look of the ARB, though I see what a lot of folks say about how it sticks out quite a bit. More protection though, I'd gather.

I'm a bit torn on that one or Brute Force. Mainly, I think I like that I can order the ARB any time.

I'd probably see about some Line-X for the bar. Oh, is that piece heavy duty or more cosmetic? Always wondered..

I almost went with Brute Force. Billy is a gentlemen and very helpful. It came down to me being able to get the ARB in 1 day versus Brute Force in a couple months. My truck is sprung for the weight of the bumper and I needed weight immediately.

I like the ARB 10x more than I anticipated. It was a real PITA to install. I ended up having a shop do it for Under 200 bucks.

I think the chrome piece would definitely help in the event of a deer strike or the like.

I always try to support the smaller vendors, but unfortunately due to timing I ended up picking the bumper up from 4wheel Parts in person.

 

I may be biased but you should have gone BFB. Although the lead time kinda sucks, I was in the same position as you last summer I saved god knows how much on shipping because I'm only a few hours away from him, and like you said super nice guy. I'd say its worth the wait, and It took me and my buddy 20 - 30 min to get in on. But in your defense that ARB does look real good and it looks like it tucks in more on the side and maybe a little in front, definitely looks more OEM too.

 

Thanks. I got my rear bumper from BF and have been pretty happy with it. I'd love to take a drive out and pick up a front bumper eventually.

I'm in no rush though, so I'll keep thinking about it.

 

This guy says he is going to start offering a few versions of front bumper for our trucks. This is the first one he made. He says he'll do a hybrid version too.

 

I would like to see it on.

 

If he posts a follow up picture with it mounted I'll be sure to post it.

 

Here it is. Looks very similar to my brute force bumper.

 

I don't see the mounting holes for a winch...mine has 2 holes next to the slot.

 

Bumper looks great, but the triangular slots at the bottom, is that just an open cavity where water and dirt can collect?

 

No clue. I would hope there are drain holes but can't say.

 

Any idea on $$$?
