3” Toytec lift and +3 CB shackles setup ??

Toytec 3” front spacer lift and CB +3 shackles in the rear.

Anyone running this setup?

I’ve searched and have not seen many instances of this setup.

I plan to order bilstein 6112/5160 combo to run at the top setting.

I came across a great deal for a slightly used 3” spacer lift kit from another forum member. It already comes assembled on trd OR suspension and comes with trd OR rear shocks.

I’m currently have an sr5 non-trd suspension.

I spoke with Dave at CB and purchased the +3 shackles based on his recommendations. I’ve also already purchased 3 .5 shims in advance for when I obtain the bilstein set.

any suggestions so far on this setup and can anyone lead me in the right direction or provide pics or link to this setup?

If I'm understanding correctly, you want to put a spacer lift on top of the 6112? The 6112 is an adjustable coilover and you do not stack lifts by putting a spacer lift on top of it. I'm hoping that you are just talking about running the 6112 up front and the shackles in the rear.

 

Sorry for the confusion.

In a couple days, I plan to currently install a 3” spacer lift in the front and +3 CB shackles in the rear (1.75” lift, per Dave at CB).

At some point in the future I will to upgrade to 6112/5160 (when they are back in stock).

I already purchased 3 CB shims (.5 each) to run 2 on the driver side and 1 on the passenger side in preparation of said upgrade.

 

Now that makes more sense. Don't forget the alignment. Toytec shows the Bilsteins on their site....I don't know if they are in stock though.

 

I just installed the toytec 2.5 coilover with shims on driver and passenger sides taking me to 3 inches with the plus 3 cb shackle in back. I'm slightly nose high prior to my aftermarket bumper. I had 5100's with shims on mid setting with +2 and with added weight in front Dave recommended the upgrade. It is possible may have to do an add a leaf in back...

 

This is the lift I will be doing but with the 3 leaf add a leaf pack.

 

You think the weight of your camper shell and all on the bed is attributing to the front end bring up?

i don’t plan on keeping my front and bed stock, I’m thinking/hoping this shouldn’t be my experience.

 

Toytecs are adjustable and are "not supposed to" have shims installed on them.

Yes he makes shims for certain applications. But it does says right in the Toytec instructions that shims will void the warranty.

 

Yeah they say that so you only buy the shims from them rather than CB....lol...what a joke
