2018 CM. I get 17 to 17.3 in perfect conditions... summer day, no head wind, steady cruise at 75 on a rural interstate. Any conditions less than that decrease it a commensurate amount.

New truck, once the engine is broken in at 100,000 miles your fuel economy will get better. Until that time, realize that you bought probably the greatest V8 truck engine in current production and enjoy that sweet sweet noise it makes when letting the bald eagles out on the highway on ramps.

So is everyone that’s concerned about MPG never going over 55 on the freeway?

I always like seeing what people in the rest of the country are able to get for MPG on their Tundras. Here in South Dakota, there is a lot of interstate driving and the posted speed limit is 80mph.. So.. I get to listen to that 5.7 take me to 80mph or so regularly and stay there. Its more of a smile per tank figure than mile per gallon.

Did they change the towing to 1000 miles? My owners manual states 500. I will add that MPGs will increase as weather gets warmer. I notice a drop in cold Temps regardless of fuel blends.

BUT BUT THE SUPERCHARGER ADDS MPG

This is the exact point I try to make to people and they don't understand it.

It's like when you buy a new refrigerator, and it's all super high tech power saving, but your electric bill goes up. And you're like, WTF man?

But you conveniently forget that you put your old fridge in the garage to hold 17 cases of beer.

Not sure how accurate the OBD Fusion gauge is but apparently I am consuming .5-.75 gallons per hour at idle. That is touching on the bottom end of a big rigs idle. So yeah, excessive idling will drive down your MPG.

It is nice to get into a warm truck when leaving for work.:D

I was getting 16.5-17 through the summer but since winter got here its been dropping. At about 13.5 right now and i've been driving like i always have on the original tires. I was blaming it on the garbage winter blend gas we get around here but the more it falls the more i think something may be wrong. Still runs good, i plan to ask about it at the next service visit.

Remote start and letting it warm up for 5-10 minutes brought my MPG down a bit. My longest drive right now is about 2 miles though so.....

I've never driven a vehicle in the winter that got the same mpg as it does in the summer.

I get same as everyone else. Right now it's sitting at 14MPG because I've been doing a crapload of short driving and some idling. (Which is why a block heater should be getting here today.)

During the summer, a mixture of city/hwy driving will get me about 15.5-16MPG; straight interstate I'll get 17-18MPG, depending on where it is.

My 2010 Tundra went 147,000 miles in 11 years. I never touched a thing on it other than running DynaPro ATM 10 ply tires. I averaged 13-14.4 mpg. 12 or less during the winter. I once drove 4 hours at 58 miles/hour and I got 18.8. That was the best I could get.

I now own a 2019 Tundra with roughly 12,000 miles on it. It has a 3" level kit in front, 2" level kit in back. I did go with a bit size larger tire but still looks stock. I am averaging 11.8 to 12.8 at 70-75mph. I did that same 4 hour trip in September at 58 miles/hour and got 18.2.

I have never ran anything other than 91 octane in this 2019. I am scared to go down but maybe it won't effect the mileage anyways. I love the look of my Tundra and I get praised on it quite a bit but this mileage is ugly.

Octane has nothing to do with mileage, especially in an engine that doesn't need it.

It's easy. Run gas in the winter for cold starts and less condensation worries, E85 in the summer for more power, and get 11 mpg all year round!

I wish I had that second gas tank like the old Ford

How do you get 40 mpg? I can't even get 12 acting like Fred Flintstone and pushing it myself.

    A bunch
Find the biggest mountain you can and let it coast down in 6th, just keep the RPM's over 1000 and the rear wheels drive the engine - voila infinite MPG's. If only for a few miles.

This is BS. How the hell do you know some are embellishing? You don't. You are just ticked that some get better MPG than you do because they drive better or don't have a bunch of MPG killing mods. Just say what you get and move on without trying to impugn peoples integrity. Jerk.

I am bone stock and I drive the speed limit. I get 17 to 17.5 in the city and 19-21 hwy all the time. Screw you if you say I am lying. Before you ask, yes, I hand calculate.

In my Tundra I'm getting 128 miles to the gallon. About .4 ounces per mile. Roughly 8 days of commuting before I burn through a gallon of fuel.

I'm running 33s and not much else in terms of extra weight.
