After being sick of opening my hood each time I park to plug in my CTek. I decided to make a mount and upgrade to the indicator version.

After a few revisions here is the final result.

Pretty slick! They also make a port that can fit into a blank on the dash, I have one in my FJ60.

Yeah, I have that on my lawn mower and SxS. The problem with the panel connection is it isn't water resistant and I need to then run though the door or window.

Yeah that is the issue with having the port inside the vehicle.

I work from home (don't drive much) and live in Wisconsin (cold climate). So I have made a habit of keeping it plugged in to maximize the battery life. CTek makes a great charger that can't really harm things by plugging it in at all times.

Great job on the 3d printing ... awesome idea!

I keep mine plugged in most of the time as well to keep the starting and aux batteries charged up. I did something kinda similar to make life easier. I have 2 Noco chargers in the bed of the truck ... a 2amp charger for the starting battery and a 10amp for the aux battery. Already had the wiring from the starting battery to the DC-DC charger in the bed so it was easy to connect to that rather than running more wire. Both chargers are connected on the AC side to a small waterproof power strip in the bed that connects to a shore power port in the bumper (next to license plate) so I just have to plug the truck into an extension cord and I'm in business.
