This thread is for any vendors or products that did you wrong.

    Couple rules:

No name calling, or photos of emails or text messages from anyone.

No hearsay. Only your own testimony.

Please provide pictures of products and all their faults.

Everything on this thread will be subjective. One person may love their product but the other won’t. This isn’t about opinions (rock lights are lame!). Only quality issues. (I have rock lights).

Some of the items on here will be obvious. Why the hell would you buy crap LED foglights on ebay? I did. Share it all.

Don’t be embarrassed by what you bought. I am, but I’m gonna swallow my pride and show the crap I spent my hard earned money on. I’ll start, but I have many items I will be sharing.

LED fogs off ebay. Made by Spyder, the output is horrendous. The crap stock halogen fogs are better. They were not plug and play, I had to rewire them. 7052D913-11B1-4638-85D3-1F24EC5D5CA1.jpg

TufSkinz vent rings. I would not buy their product again.

Finish was splotchy, looked bulky. Couldn't get them off quick enough.

The vendor TufSkinz did refund the purchase price of the item after they saw the picsIMG_20191010_160343.jpg IMG_20191010_160337.jpg IMG_20191010_160326.jpg

AVS lo pro vent visors. The fit and finish is just awful. The drivers window catches on the front of the visor and pops it off when you roll the window up. The plastic is warped and misshapen. The adhesive doesn’t actually stick to the truck, and I had to use a whole roll of 3m extreme mounting tape.

ProForm Fab lift shackles. I waited a month before contacting them, was told they should ship next week, next week came, no updates. I opened a PayPal dispute and they immediately cancelled my order. Checking out their Facebook, the owner apologized in February and September citing being “slammed”. Well...hire more people, lots of people looking for work right now or at least set realistic expectations that orders will ship in 8 weeks.

I had the same experience. If I had known up front that they were slammed, as he says, cool. But I got the “one more week” or “end of the week” for 3 weeks before he cancelled my order.

Huhrrmm, I don't experience this pop that you speak of. I do agree though that it may not be for everyone.

I tried and tried to get them on but they just wouldn't align. I shaped them a little with the heat gun and that helped, but the other end of the driver's side sticks out off the tape :ballchain:

Have you tried a replacement? I wonder if the issues you are having are a one-off. Also makes me wonder if I'm just so unperturbed, that I just accepted mine and they really are shoddy.

The Amazon reviews mirror my experience pretty much to a T.
I promptly ignored them because I got a good price on this set. Lol

Gator floor liners, they are made by Husky so I figured they'd be quality, was wrong. The rear liner never fit right and the stickers had fallen off the front liners and we're sitting in the bottom of the box. My best guess is that they had sat in a box in a hot warehouse for too long and warped up. They were sent back to Amazon today and purchased the Husky Xact Contours instead.

Love this. Almost feels like we need a “Shit I bought on the cheap and was pleasantly surprised with” thread to mirror this.

So far, on this truck, I haven’t gotten anything that I didn’t think was worth what I paid for.

Some of the parts of my “JDM” rubber red-accent door and cupholder inserts don’t really stay put, but I really only wanted the cupholder inserts anyway and those are fine.

Now, on my 2008 I had a Safelite “OEM” replacement windshield that was terrible. The windshield wipers left scratches in it within a year that would keep it from being clear in the rain no matter what I tried to clean or coat it with. I was actually happy when I finally caught a rock in it that cracked it so I could get it replaced on insurance.

I hate that you had a bad experience with these. They look really nice. I love the very low profile. These are the first ones I've seen that I would've considered, except for your experience.

TRD Pro knockoff headlights. These looked awesome at first. They don’t come with leveling motors, and there’s no way to install the old motors on them. The halogen headlights are still horrible. But the hazing of the lens happened within a year. Later, I sprayed them with clear, so I don’t have a picture with them hazed over. Just trash, I wouldn’t even resell them.

I'm sorry I don't have the pics anymore, but I don't think I have ever been less impressed with an item that costs more than $100 than I was with the Peragon accordion-style tonneau cover. It looked nice enough, except for showing water spots very badly. But it felt so flimsy I was afraid to put anything in the truck bed with it. I was very thankful for their 100% guarantee, and was impressed with their customer service. I just couldn't see that cover lasting a year, much less the 14 years I had my last cover.
