I purchased the Tundra in April. Thought the light was out on the mirror controls. Then found that they are not lit at all. How stupid is that? Plus why not put them on the door handle like in every other auto I had with power mirrors.

I didn't dim it down at all. I will try to find a link. They had multiple colors to choose from, I think the amber was the lowest lumen so I went with that. It does looks clean which is nice. I'll see if I can find it.

Just came across this after searching why my mirror light switch is out. This makes no sense. Why is this not lit?

It is Toyota logic. Probably same reason we don't have driver side grab handles, non illuminated instrument panels you can't read with sunglasses on, Tacomas for years did not have lighted transfer case switches, and key has to be on to get power to plugs. Just to name a few. Lighted power switch does not bother me because I am the only driver. What does bother me is that the switch is lit in a Prius but not trucks.

I agree, I never need to change my settings unless I’m towing, but it’s just such a randomly odd thing. Every surrounding switch is lit. I assume that spthe Prius switch is a different size and not interchangeable?

I also find it odd that all of the window door switches are no lit up, particularly the lock/unlock button?

Not sure about the Prius switch. I only drove one at night. That is how I know it was illuminated. As far as window switches the don't bother me at all. Too easy to operate just by feel.
