Love the wheels. Hate that they are 0 offset. My plan has been (and still is I think) to not modify my truck too much. It is mainly a work rig with the some occasional adventuring. I'm wondering what kind of lift and tire size would be appropriate to run Realms without rubbing or looking funny. I'd love to be in the '33" tire w/2" lift' range. Thoughts?

I like those wheels. That is a super aggressive offset though. Is the 9.5” rim too wide for 275/70R18?

No matter what they are going to stick out far, a loft won't change that.

There are plenty of other rims out there with similar styling with a less aggressive offset and not 9.5" wide.

When we were looking at BR Roku rims, and that size tire, it was outside of some of the recommendation or guidelines

We ended up with BR Stadium at +10 and Falken Wildpeaks in 275/70/18 for the 8.5" rim.

Lots of factors in play for rubbing. Even with my setup, some didn't have rub and said I'd be fine....I wasn't and had to do some shimmyshamming to get no rub.

Swing and a miss from Black Rhino, I’m afraid.

Hey Bruce, could you give me some suggestions of other less aggressive rims with similar styling?

I don't have any off the top of my head

Your best bet is choose a brand you like and hit up their site. Or choose the vendor you want to buy from and filter results. They will usually let you filter by rim width and offset, in conjunction with your bolt pattern.

We recently bought and it was tough to narrow down choice with the amount of rims out there. For us it came down to Method, Level8 and Black Rhino.

FN wheels makes 5- and 6-spoke wheels that are similar. People really seem to like dealing with Dustin. Here’s a thread gauging interest in a group buy this Spring: https://www.tundras.com/threads/gauging-interest-for-a-possible-17-fn-wheels-gb.72142/

@SCSPerformance makes great wheels, too. I had their F5 on my 4Runner. I would buy it in a heartbeat (hint hint @scs_vuth) for the Tundra, but for some reason it doesn’t come in a 5x150 bolt pattern for our trucks.

Both companies make wheels for our trucks with less aggressive offsets than that Black Rhino wheel.

Oh I’ve looked. Been searching sites and reading posts here. I know I don’t have a high post count but I’ve been lurking for a while. I don’t think there’s another wheel out there that I would call ‘similar’ to the Ream in 5x150. I love the F5 but again, not 5x150. I too would buy that in a heartbeat. The FN 5 star would be cool too but as of today that is not an option.

I believe there are factory Toyota OEM rims like ones there were on my truck, but in black.

Someone else posted a pic of them in black, +60 offset, OEM specs, it may be an option.

Mine are off now, no tires and I plan on getting them powder coated or DIY black. I actually love the stye, reminds me of when I was a kid with the classic Hotwheels dinky car case.

it’s my understanding that the FN 5 star in a 5x150 is a potential option in the Spring group buy.
