Mounting Tray

Anybody looking for a mounting tray for their Tundra? These just came out from SD Off-road. This looks good. I wonder if it's compatible with the Genesis dual battery kit considering the fuse box needs to be moved back when installing that kit.

 

I just built one of these for a blue sea acr and relay block etc.

If I had known how much hassle it all was I would have just bought this lol

 

That looks great but would be a pain in the ass if you ever have to replace a fuse, lol.

 

This, and fuses seem to blow at the most inconvenient places. It would be great if the mounting had a quick release system similar to the 1/4 turn fasteners on my quads plastics.

 

Even with quick release it would be a pain due to wires and cables routing, which are usually just have enough length to make it neat and OE look. This is why I mounted mine on top of the junction box next to the airbox. You virtually never access the junction box unless you are re-wiring the truck.

 

I was thinking about that as well. In order for it to work you would need quick disconnect plugs.

 

It will be a lot of qd plugs, lol.

 

That is the cleanest setup that I have seen on here.

 

This is an older switch pro so mounting on its side is not a problem. Warranty is expired anyways

 

I thought about placing my wiring there but my washer fluid bottle will be going there to make room for the second battery mount from sdhq in the original washer bottle location.

 

Why the 2nd battery? Are you better off upping the alternator amp output?

 

alternator output is zero when the truck is off

The second battery is powering aftermarket ‘leave it on while the truck is off’ stuff.

 

My plan is to put the 2nd battery underneath the truck bed if I ever need it.

 

Yes I looked at that to. I decided to keep it all in the engine bay in the end. Shorter wiring, no worry about it getting crushed. Not sure I could weld a good box under the bed.

Where can I find out where to get the tray that you can mount Switch Pro SP9100 & ARB Twin Turbo Air Compressor.

 

If you don’t mind me asking, where might I be able to find/purchase this accessory tray? Have been looking at options for mounting electrical components in this same area and stumbled upon this. Looks great by the way.
