Raised air intakes

how come nobody makes snorkel for the 3rd gens? I've seen a guy put a 200 series land cruisers on a 2nd gen. But what gives?

 

There aren't enough real Tundra offroaders to warrant a company spending the R&D on one. I myself will be making a custom one before Summer for my rig.

 

Guess that's the same reason for why I can't find a decent roof rack. But hey that's what's makes each Tundra unique, gotta custom make everything damn near. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I don't see why it wouldn't. The fender design between the 2nd and 3rd gens aren't that different are they?

 

It probably could fit but it just won't be perfectly flush against the body. The fenders are slightly different, IIRC -- very slight.

Hopfully on trails and where a lot of dust is an issue. Not to worried about going deep into water. But I am going on an overland trip with some guys to Arkansas in sept on the high water mark trail. 18 diff water crossings.

 

Im done going through deep water. I've been worried a few times with water to the headlights. Last hole i went through i started to have electrical issues later that evening.

 

Alternator issues ?

 

Lol. I like your sense of humor mate. I don't think that trail has any rivers. More like creeks. I don't really plan to do deep water stuff anyhow. All the rigs in the bush aka Australia all come equipped with snorkels to keep dust and dirt from getting into the air box?

 

I remember a picture of @joem1cha3l rig with a snorkel on it.

Ask @Law323 for help. It's as simple as electrical tape, a hole saw, and a handful of pringles cans.

 

Unsure but the dealer said a loose ground, i checked and was tight. Every electrical gauge in my dash was inoperable, no dash illumination, warning lights on and the truck would roll in drive mode on declines when my foot is off the brake. Also, sport mode wouldn't work.

 

I used beer cans.....aluminum lasts longer than cardboard

Not to mention the more cans I needed...the more fun I had emptying them

 

I think you should try plastic dip on those yellow light covers to see how it looks. I think it would add nicely to your stealth set up.

 

@Tracker, yea, I'm planning on cutting out 4" diameter vinyl stickers and doing the following to give the rig a more understated look (along with going with gray wheels instead of white)..

 

It's a bad ass truck! It's getting some good dirt time too!
