I know nothing of that brand, but that's a bit of money if you looking to keep it simple and add 33s while leveling. By daily driver, do you mean that it stays on paved roads and you don't off road?
Have you looked at Bilstein? You can get the 5100 on all corners and level the truck for a lot less or go with the 6112/5160 combo and still save money compared to Elka. I'm not saying anything bad about Elka, I'm just curious what is your driving factors for picking them?

I've heard good things about Elka. Toytec Aluma series shocks are rebranded Elkas, so you can look for their reviews and it's the same hardware too.

I've now been digging around the forum, Elkas are mentioned here and there. If they fit your need, they seem rated well

the elka 2.0s are identical to the Toytecs, as mentioned above, but the toytecs are cheaper, and revalved to Toytec's specs.

Interesting, I'll take a look at this with Toytec. I have Bilstein 6112 on order, but tired of Billy not having an ETA of delivery. As of recent, they're saying March, which went from a previous date of January.

Elka is a good option. If you're in Canada, Baja North can hook you up with prices lower than MSRP. I'm in the process of deciding between the 2.5 and the 2.0.

One thing I would suggest is consider the 2-3 inch model instead. If you just want enough lift to fit 33's, you would be sitting on minimal pre-load rather than possibly maxing out the pre-load on the 0-2 inch shocks

Personally I think 2.0s are a tad small for these big trucks.

to be fair, aluminum absolutely corrodes. Rust is corrosion.

Aluminum does not rust. Rust is a corrosion process that occurs with in the presence of iron, which is present in steel.

Aluminum does corrode once it starts to develop an oxide layer, the corrosion though is far less aggressive than rust. So manufacturers anodize the surface of the aluminum parts, usually. Which produces a coating that is better at protection than paint or powder coating. So, yes aluminum does corrode, but at a far more marginal rate that steel does.

You could argue for the strength properties of steel, but arguing that steel would be better suited than aluminum (at least in consideration of the steel used in this specific manufacturing) to protect against corrosion wont hold up. Pun intended :D

you could cancel your 6112 order, and buy mine. They’ll be listed on here in a couple weeks. 6112s and 5160s with only 10k miles on them.
