Nice work. I’m super lucky mine came out with the Bearing press alone. Even with the press they were tough to get out.

so the Icon progressive AAL only gave you 1/2" of lift right out of the box? did you have any weight in the back? I was just about to order the Icons and was hoping for at least 1"...

No weight in the bed. It wasn’t an AAL. It was a mini pack which replaced all but one leaf. I was surprised that it was only 1/2” of lift. I was expecting 1-1.5” of lift. It worked out ok because I am super happy with the coachbuilder shackles.

sorry, yeah thats what I meant, the mini pack. did you leave the overload or the main leaf? my understanding was that the icon replaced everything between the main and overload. maybe that’s why the 1/2” net gain?

i didn't do the installation of the lift and i didn't think to look at what got replaced.

However, here is what the leaf pack looks like now. It has 5 leafs:

Here is a product pic of the Icon Stage 2 lift. The mini pack has 3 leafs:

So, my mistake, the original main leaf and the overload leaf are still there. How many leafs are on the stock leaf pack? Is it 4?

The product description says that the mini pack should lift the rear 1.5" upload_2020-6-20_7-53-49.jpg

So I was disappointed when I saw that the rear was only lifted 0.5". I am not sure why there is such a discrepancy.

But it still worked out. I am glad that I installed the coachbuilder shackles. Those really improved the ride.

yup, stock is 4, or at least mines is. bummer on the .5” lift... sometimes I wonder if that’s due to the 38 gallon gas tank? not sure. I have a ‘15 with the 26 gallon tank so I’m hoping I get at least an inch. I used to run the icon progressive’s on my Tacoma and I loved it. thanks for the feedback!

Best write up. I installed mine yesterday, just +1 as I didn’t want much lift. The quality of the shackle is amazing, the ride is noticeably better. Everyone needs a set!

Am I reading that correctly? You used the Coachbuilder bushings in the Pro Form Fab shackles?

They don’t really go on the shackles they go in the leaf eyelet and frame where you’re bolts run through. They are made by energy bushings.

Great write up OP! Just spoke with David @Coachbuilder1 over the phone and ordered away the CB +2 kit. He answered all my questions!
    :spending:
Now I wait until it’s time to install. Will see how this changes my Pro stance. Looking for a little sexy rake in the back. :muscleflexing:
Right now a single leaf falls in the bed and it sags! :D

Just installed a readylift sst pro plus 2... im strongly considering adding the CB +3 shackles. All your trucks look awesome. A fellow Tundra owner who is part of a local tundra group has the cb +2 along with the readylift pro plus 2 for over a year with absolutely no issues. With my canopy due to be done in the next month, im sure theres gonna be sag as I already have a decked system.

    Thanks for the write up!
Will soon go that route with the 2” + custom Alcans.

Anyone can confirm 35” spare tire will fit down there (with the guide tabs off)?

    Thanks!

Look at post #28 on this thread on the 35 spare. I plan on doing this once I find a reasonably cheap 34 to use as a spare.

So I’m a bit confused on unbolting the shocks. Are you removing the whole shock or just the lower bolts and leaving the shocks hanging? If so is reinstalling the shocks any harder than normal?

I have a +1 set waiting for install. Just waiting on my Falcon kit to arrive and just knock it out all at once.

I have a 33” spare so I inquired about fit before ordering and was told it will be fine with the CB shackle.
