need an opinion for my night shade tundra

hey everyone so I just picked up my night shade tundra but kind of surprised it didn't come with the black 5.7 badges....do you guys think I should put them on?

 

I plan to ditch those badges on my truck, so my vote is kinda biased. No Badge.

Looks naked without the badges to me. I think they'd give it a nice contrast.

 

I'm old-school and like the badges...but all blacked-out on a white truck.

 

On the truck pictured, the blacked out badges would look great. Can’t go wrong either way though.

I am glad mine did not come with them. Gave me a perfect place to place my American flags!

You could compromise and just paint all the badges the same color as the truck..

 

You do what you will like..... after all, you will be getting into it everyday. Dress it up or down to your liking.

 

Did you already buy the badges? If so put them on. If you don’t like them you can always take them back off later.
I prefer badge free. Any vehicle I have kept long enough the badges always seem to come off.

 

I like badges.
Have you considered a tailgate badge?

@GIN•OKUMA i did buy the badging. Just want to get exact measurement of the badge in another tundra so I can put it in the exact spot

As far as badges, I removed all decals and badges on my Midnight Black Tundra, and think it looks FANTASTIC!

 

Understandable. We need marital status and kiddos added to the bios. Lol!

 

Put 5.7 badge on and remove the others.

I’m in the debadge camp... mine didn’t last three weeks. I also peeled the vinyl off on the b-pillars.

You don't want anyone to think you have a 4.6 under the hood....

Under the black vinyl at the back of the front door windows and front of the rear door windows is factory paint.

Nope. Only way to get chrome there is to buy some putco stick-on. I’ve seen it done...

A little time with a hair dryer and start peeling. Once you start, you’re committed though (I think tufskinz or someone does make a replacement). I always considered doing it on my 2008 DC and never had the guts to do it. Not sure why I didn’t hesitate on my new one, but I love it.

No badge. Pretty much every tundra has a v8. No need to announce it to the world. The truck is easier to clean after debadging too

 

Heck not only would I not put the 5.7 badge on , I’d rip the tundra badge off. I love my SX with no badging. I wish it didn’t even have the SX sticker

I am firmly in the de-badge camp.

Body lines flow much better, and makes it easier to clean.

Takes away from the total aesthetic for me. Why do I want badges plastered all over it telling me a bunch of stuff I already know in that it’s Tundra / 4x4 / 5.7 / Platinum / etc?
