My 2018 Platinum is stock suspension and ride height and I want to keep it that way. The wheels and tires are more luxury/Sport than off road and the ride is very pillowy with large oscillations after a bump. What's the best shock for the stock springs in order to stiffen the ride with quicker rebound and stabilizing without changing the ride height?
I know I may be the only one, or at least in the minority, who wants this sort of thing but maybe someone has already tried it.

OEM TRD Pro Fox, I’ve heard are outstanding on road and off road. Also stock ride height.

Bilstein 4600 series for the best controlled ride.

Expensive azz Platinums come with the cheapest shocks(the black Hitachis)!
A set of TRD Sport or Off Road take offs is better than whats in there.
TRD/Fox are great but $$$$, Kings and such can be cranked down to near stock ride height too.

Depends on what you wanna spend I guess.

BTW, yellow HD 4600 are the same as Red & Blue TRD Off Road shocks.
Bilstein states that they are the smoothest riding shocks made for these trucks.

I hate to be that guy but...the Bilstein 4600’s are similar but they have stiffer valving than OEM Bilsteins. I called them many years ago in regards to that very statement and they told me the Toyota factory installed Bilsteins are much softer. The ride is noticeably stiffer with the 4600’s. Additionally the 4600’s are a larger diameter.

OP you should check out the Eibach shocks. I prefer them over Bilstein because of the initial bump absorption. Much smoother but with a controlled absorption through the stroke.

Yeah, the 4600's are better and Bilstein considers them the best choice due to the differences you listed. I have accumulated about 400,000 miles on the HDs, and I have to agree with what Bilstein says about them.
