    Hold the Line! If you are not holding the line, abandon your ship. Destruction is inevitable without more to hold the line!
    Just though I would put up my experiences with the dash cameras I have tried in my truck.

    I first used the Conbrov DC6000, it was a decent setup, but it had an internal battery instead of a capacitor so the high heat ruined the battery in short order. The Camera mounted to the dash without issue, but it was quite apparent that it was on the there, no stealthiness. The "starLight" functionality was quite impressive, especially for a camera of its price. I did experience time sync issues with this camera though.

    The next one I have tried is the Mini 0807. I went with a "mini" because Australians have been using these for years and swear by them. The 0807 model has a "supercapcitor" instead of a battery so it can take the heat pretty well. The camera clarity is also much better than the Conbrov. However this camera has "power stability" issues and "write" issues. I am not sure if it is the 12 volt cigarette lighter port or the camera itself. There is just one port on my Tundra that turns on and off with the truck so I have to use it, albeit I could convert another port to (turn off when truck is powered off) but I do not feel like messing with it. This camera is very sleek and hides perfectly well in front of my rear view mirrror. I ran the power cord along the top and down the doorway so you cannot tell that it is on there unless you are REALLY looking.

    Overall I still recommend getting a dash camera to everyone. Too many crazy people out driving, jumping in front of you, trying to rob you, treating you as if you do not have any rights (some Law Enforcement). I have been using the dash cam for just a few months and it has already got me a few good videos of idiots. Also I got a video of a Medi-Vac helicopter coming in for a landing, 50 yards from me, on a windy Oklahoma day.

    @ColoradoTJ

    These are something I have considered but haven't looked into too much yet. Someday.

    I just installed the Goluk T3, really happy with it so far. Its been running for a bit over a week now with zero issues.
    Hardwired and it has "parking mode" which is nice and a little "Capture" remote button that helps you keep small bits of footage if you see something worth saving. Its about half the size of one of the AC dials and 3M tapes to any surface

    Made a quick video. First night shot was converted from the device to my iPhone, then transferred to PC for editing, I wanted to see the quality difference and loss doing it that way. The rest are all straight off the 64gb card.

    The kit came with a hardwire option, I just pulled roof console off and tapped into the ground and permanent power going up to the sunroof. Not bad for $120bucks

    Do you have any pics of it mounted? Sounds like a clean setup.

    Apologies about the quality and poor garage lighting. Barely had a minute to drink a beer lately. I'll try and take some better photos this weekend if you like

    The Goluk is slightly more noticeable from the outside of the truck vs the A119's and the other matt black cams. Doesn't really bother me and I can't see it at all from the drivers seat.
