What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I've got an extra Gray Braided 12" cord. I use one for Android Auto and a magnet phone holder. The pack came with two cords. Let me know, it will only cost you the shipping.

 

If I was gonna hinge it then it would have to be a different edge, don’t think I could flip it up with the fender blocking the stuff that will be on top.

And I’m not too worried about getting in to it. Haven’t popped a factory fuse in probably twenty years? Everything aftermarket will be run outside of it anyway.

 

Does that plug into the trailer power? Sorry for my ignorance!

Nice. Is it just a standard trailer plug and you swapped it onto the power cord for the compressor?

 

If you're talking about the 7 pin cable mod, it's a very very small tug, like $8 lol

This was my mileage when I parked this morning at Timberline.

 

If you did want to hinge it, consider a hinge pointed down (pin at top) . side mounted to truck and the moveable edge with a 90 bracket to support the panel. then the swing would clear the truck side. you would have to route the wires to the hinge and allow a bit of loop for the twist. maybe a 2'' hinge long enough to span the panel. just a thought.

Finally got around to getting my full size spare setup and swapped in. 295/70R18 Mastercraft Courser MXT. It's a squeeze but it fits!

 

Did you have to bend any of the tabs to get it in? I plan on doing 5 rims and tires and rotating in the spare

 

So not gonna lie. It was a bit of a pain. But one of the most fulfilling mods I’ve done in a long time. Wrapped the steering wheel and painted the columns! Highly recommend taking off the wheel. Used some super glue to keep the ends down around the tucked corners. The paint was the tricky part. Didn’t like the first color (too much gloss). I highly recommend primer before painting.
But all in all, love the final result!!!

I removed the tabs completely. Just drilled the rivets out (very soft metal) and knocked them off. Then I put heater hose on the frame to keep from rubbing into the tire.

that took 3 hours to wrap. And a day to paint. I think I’m good to never do that again

be prepared for a project and patience! Don’t use the tape. Stitch it only. It will hold. And take off the steering wheel. There are plenty of videos that show how easy it is to do. Go slow, be tight with your stitch. It will look great.

 

Do you see any reasons that would prevent a TRD alloy rim to fit instead of the steal rim?
Any chance you took a picture of the heater hose?
Just ordered a 305 70 R18 to mount down there, I hope this will fit

 

@PNW_Husky What did you use to attach the rings to the underside of the canopy?

 

I used the same bolts and knobs that secure my roof rack rails to the canopy.
