What was the issue that caused you to call Hayden's customer service? I find your statements concerning.

Grounding the horn will no longer require a ground cable. I'm going to be updated the instructions next week to include the new procedures of mounting it.

No need to be concerned, this is just regarding becoming a dealer for their products.

Why do you no longer advertise stainless steel mounting brackets? I understand the new coolers are isolated, but what about everyone that bought the kit with the Hayden cooler and stainless steel bracket and fasteners with no isolation?

Hayden doesn't offer vibration isolating brackets on any of their products.

Not talking about vibration, the no aluminum with stainless thing so you don’t get corrosion in the cooler.

The bracket is powder coated and so is the Hayden cooler.

Powder coating is not an excuse for selecting the wrong materials. Good luck!

Good luck with what? I don't use stainless in the brackets. The hardware is stainless, yes.

I used aluminum when I was designing the 777. 778 brackets were .93" cold rolled steel. MHX and Setrab use .125" cold rolled steel.

Also, I've designed a MHX bracket that will fit on 2014-2018 year Tundra's. It will be a couple weeks until it is test fitted to work in conjunction with the factory cooler on top of the condenser.

I'm looking for a 2019+ magnuson superchargered Tundra to install the MHX bracket/kit on their truck. PM me for deatails. Discount included.

Yeah steel was what I used for the bracket to mount my B&M. I want to now get some of those rubber mounts that TXBrit used, not sure if they're necessary but can't hurt I guess.

Is there going to be a new install video with the MHX and Setrab kits?

Not at this time. If the current instructions are not clear I can fix them. Also, the current install video covers most of the install since the instructions to install all the parts to the hard lines are going to remain the same.

For those who have purchased a Hayden kit in the past, I will offer you a $100 discount for the MHX and $80 discount for the Setrab partial kits if you would like to upgrade.

That is good to know. I have the Hayden kit and have towed/hauled near max capacities for about 4,000 miles and my temps never got over 208. And one trip I was probably over the max towing. Everything seems to be working fine.

Do you think I should upgrade to the newer coolers?

I have the Hayden cooler and have ZERO concerns over any mechanical integrity issues. It's every bit as robust as the Toyota radiator used in the Tundra. Too funny the dissimilar metal concerns, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. I have been extremely satisfied with my install using the Hayden cooler. I have yet to see trans temp over 198F with any of my towing adventures. I never see trans temp below 188F after the transmission reaches steady state. The package works flawlessly.

Let's say you spring a leak in ANY transmission cooler. It will most likely be a pin hole leak spraying transmission fluid everywhere. The odor will be the first indication there is an issue, smoke will be the next from the fluid hitting hot engine components. If you aren't perceptive enough to pull over at that point then something will take your truck out before the trans cooler, lol.

I do not see any advantages of the "heavier coolers". Then again some people drive 1 ton trucks that don't tow anything.

Only do it if you require it. If your not towing heavy often you don't need it.
