ESP Underseat Storage

Before I get this for my 2021 TRD Pro, I was wondering if anyone who's installed it can comment if road noise increases due to the removal of some of the sound proofing material during installation.

I have the open 3 bay design. No increase in noise on my truck. I also used the cutout carpet as a tray liner to stop any rattling.

 

That might be the option I go with too. I have the console safe, so the lockable lids might not be necessary. ESP has a long box model too, but it's only 3 1/2" deep and is over $700.

 

Welcome from NC! One of the best storage mods you can do. No negative issues with this install. Just remember to cut inside the trace line for a snug fit.

 

Yeah the price is what steered me away. I keep the jack, jumper cables, sport towels, winter gloves, gear, and first aid kits in it.

 

I love mine. No negatives aside from pricing.

Personally I feel like this product isn't doing anything for me that a backpack or small duffle bag can't accomplish....plus I don't have to cut my truck up and I save $200+.

I like the flat area for my dog to sit when the seat's folded up.

 

Nothing wrong with that! It all comes down to need, utility, and affordability!

 

I like the concept, but HATE the idea of cutting into the floor of my truck. This is why I went with a low profile toolbox in the bed. I don't leave anything in the truck that needs to be locked up, it's always on me, LMAO. The toolbox is great, holds tons of stuff, has LED lights inside and out. Wish Toyota had done this from the factory, but I'm not cutting into my floor.

 

Very nice! If I didn't have a bed cover, this would be a great option.

 

I had a bed cover on my last truck and loved it. This truck came with the sprayed in bed liner, and LED bed lights. Decided to just leave it open and go with a box this time. I like the open space.

How is the box secured to the truck, bed rail channels or drilled in the bed rail?

 

Truck Toolbox Mounting Kit forged out of 6000 series aluminum with a large clamping area to provide more strength and durability. Two of these in front, with large J Hooks in back.

The price increase on the full width one includes the new seat rail mounts to allow it to go full width.
I keep going back and forth on making my own three section one or buying the ESP full width.

I feel ya I didn’t even want to drill in my bed for the bed xtender, but the other brackets were sold out

 

I will be getting one after I get the drivers side grab handle.

I paid $179. It's a lot of money for plastic. If I remember right I paid $169 for the driver's side grab handle. And it turned out to be very useful. I think the storage box will be too.

 

Just installed the long box today. There was some labor involved, but it wasn't difficult. Very pleased with the result.
