    Hi All,

    Just purchased a carrier bearing drop kit (0"-2") from Coachbuilder, gonna install them over the weekend, just wanted to ask, when reinstalling the bolts, is threadlocker (Red) or anti-seize required/recommended?

    I believe threadlocker is recommended for carrier bearing drop. Have you reached out to CoachBuilder?

    6" ProComp Stage 1 lift
    I just did mine for a 3-5" lift. I used metal locknuts and torqued to Coachbuilders recc. I think it is at 25ft/lbs. Seems light to me considering the original bolts where torqued on waaaay tighter. So far so good. Coachbuilder installation sheet that comes with the spacers does not indicate thread locker. I guess you can, why not?

    Fun fact for thread lockers on stainless steel and aluminum fasteners. You will need to spray them with an primer prior to installation since most thread lockers kick off from contact with the iron in the bolts. There are a few thread lockers that have capsulated primer in them, but most do not.

    Thanks guys for all the input! So I emailed David at coachbuilder and he says that thread locker is not required. Torqued it to spec and so far so good.

    Took it on a test drive on the highway and seems that the vibration from lifting is gone. Woooooo!
