    3" Lift on 305/70/17
Hey yinz guys I have a quick question and I know if sorta late to the game here but I just put a 3" lift and new 305/70/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my 2013 Tundra Rock Warrior Crewmax and it seems the shop didn't put back on the front skid plate.

not my truck below but just the example of the skid plate they removed / didn't put back on because they said they couldn't due to the lift.

Just don't quit understand why, any helpful ideas ?

    Thank you

Is that the skid plate that yours has? Maybe the tires were close to rubbing it? IMO, that skid plate looks like shit anyway. It looks about as cheesy as those fake plastic vents that people stick on their cars.

To make getting at the oil filter more challenging?
Maybe easier! Can't tell how for back that thing goes.

As Tundra234 said, I suspect the tires might have rubbed. I assume the new tires are a larger size than what you originally had ? I know some people have had to trim the skid plate so that may be an option for you to get a little extra clearance.

I made the mistake of not asking for the parts they removed. It still burns my ass that I lost my upper a arms, skid plate, and several other items. Shop said they scrapped it but I know they sold it.

Thanks all, I did get the skid plate back and all the hardware with it.

Maybe I’ll just look for an aftermarket replacement

oh yes the tires are bigger, went from stock 285/70/17 to 305/70/17

The factory skid as well as this one would need to be trimmed in each wheel well back further than the sway bar. Also if you had a front diff drop installed you would need spacers that drop the skid plate about 1/2” or so.
