Screenshot_2021-01-22-14-55-35.jpgLike the BIG truck look?? Reason for asking is because I bought my truck to pull my tt around. Have 18 4Runner to drive around for other needs. Been considering a Ranch Hand summit series bumper guard combo too. But I think I could fab this guy from aluminum and mount it up to the frame tow hook locations with some fab work including some used crunch cans from a 3/4ton or other so it can still absorb some impact. The goal is to still travel after hitting bambi on the interstate. Why? The family can enjoy daylight more if I do more dark hours driving and stopping a 8k # trailer all of a sudden at 60 mph Isn't going to happen really quickly. So, it is Ranch Hand, modify other bumper for more grill protection, or fab something unique. Also looking at a few ultrasonic frequency sound devices.

But to each their own.... in the end its your truck and what you like. If you like the "Big truck" look then go for it.

How many deer do you hit in a year?

After hitting a dear at 60mph, you are going to need to go to the shop for something anyways. I don't see the point of the above grille or need for something to plow over deer and expect to keep on driving.

    As for your choices, RanchHand.

Depends on the weight of the deer and how much you can reduce speed before impact. Go to the shop maybe, but that is different from losing the whole front end and going to the shop by a tow truck.

I live in Ohio, I get it. I would want more of a stinger type so it doesn’t roll up on the hood. And more radiator cover.
