This caught me early on, but they actually have (2) websites. You won't get free shipping on their dealership site. The one you need to visit is:
    https://toyotaonlineparts.mcgeorgetoyota.com/
and enter the voucher code: FREESHIP at checkout.
At least that's how I've been ordering all my stuff and getting the free shipping. So far they have the best pricing for OEM Toyota stuff I can find and I've gotten all my stuff really fast.

Yes, the free shipping is a promotion through Toyota Parts, that is suppose to end at the end of this month. RSB ordered Tues and is on truck for delivery today. Can’t beat that.

I ordered the front sway bar too, but had to get from Sparks as McGeorge didn't have it for some reason...probably because I've heard Toyota doesn't package them very well or at all.

Even my local dealer didn't know it could be ordered. I had to show them the e-brochure with the price.

Yeah, I was only looking on-line at their website and probably should have called McGeorge. Like Sparks Toyota, I'm in South Carolina so the shipping cost isn't too bad.

Just worked for me like 5 mins ago.
Make sure you’re going to the correct store, as people have mentioned above there are 2 stores, free shipping only works for one of them.

Yup, this was the deal, they have 2 websites, one you get the free shipping with and the other gets you a slightly bigger discount on the bar but shipping isn’t free. I have one on the way!!!
Now I just need the temps to warm up a bit after I get it....

I think if you go 10% more on the torque with the anti seize it will cover all your bases.

Those that have them... the brackets look like unpainted, untreated metal. Are they rusting over the years? I live in the rust belt and HATE the look of rust. Any reasons I shouldn’t paint mine with rust preventative when I get them?

They’re not bare steel. There’s a gold colored finish on them. Not sure what the finish is. I can’t speak to how it holds up long term as I just installed it yesterday.

I think the brackets, U bolts, bolts, washers and nuts are all zinc plated steel.

Correct, it is Zinc Gold Passivation. There is no actual gold though. It has decent corrosion resistance though not the absolute best, its cheap and easy to do. It resembles common cadmium plating, but they stay away from that for cars as much as possible. I work in manufacturing so I see this finishes alot.

As I was installing the second U bolt I noticed a very small defect in the bushing. There’s a small void in the rubber where it’s thin on the edges. I don’t think it’s a tear, just a void from the injection molding process. I assume this isn’t a big deal, but it’s bothering me a bit. I’m afraid it will let more dirt in and wear faster. Should I just ignore it and go wear out some tires going around corners faster? :burnrubber:

It’s one the right side in the below image, just below the slit in the bushing.

Another install comment....48 lbft on the u bolts felt way tighter than I would have done by feel. I used two different Harbor Freight torque wrenches and got the same result.

maybe I’m just seeing the results of going on a year without hitting the weight room.

There are several members who have painted the hardware before installation. If/when I get one, I think I will paint it before it goes on.

You dont have to worry about anything. A little void is fine, its a solid material. It is so tight under that bracket against the bushing, and its a static part, nothing is going to wiggle its way between the bushing and bracket. Its the same material inside and out of the bushing, so if your not worried about corrosion or deterioration on the exposed sides of the bushing, you shouldnt be on the inside of the bushing either.

Ordered from McGeorge.. Fantastic price, and can't wait to toss it on the new truck. I never got one for my 2014 CM, for some reason. Now that my son will be taking that truck over, and we're gonna do a few things to it, I'll probably do that one as well.

If you're like me, it felt like the "U" bolts were pretty tight each turn but taking forever to get there? Anyhow, I think what's happening is you are actually bending the "U" bolts around the axles a bit when tightening. Once all extra length is gone, the nut torque comes up to the Lb-Ft spec. pretty quick.

Exactly...and there were a couple of screeching sounds that are generally bad when tightening hardware.

She had a mazadapseed protege when I met her so she somewhat understands what a sway bar is... she only rolled her eyes a little bit.
