    It has a rubber seal all around the flares so it should be ok.

    You are close lol. Dirt gets between the rubber seal and the truck and will rub into the paint. On my 2013, it rubbed down to the metal underneath. That will not happen with the PPF. I have pics in my build. I bought a 3/4 inch 60 foot roll of Xpel on Amazon. It's a very wise and highly recommended thing that should be done. @2020Platinum has a good video on his channel.

    Thanks for the mention George!...and nice truck OP!...here’s the video on the PPF install, highly recommend it...without it the paint will get scratched over time, but if ya apply it correctly it keeps paint in perfect condition...hope it helps!
