Are you running the led turn signal bulbs up front?

I'll be bringing it in with an empty tank of gas most likely

That's great. The more I read into it the more I see where guys are NOT having any issues with hyper-flash after the fix. I'm just going to leave mine the way it is. Service Manager told me it's fine running LED's, but too low of voltage for the factory incandescent bulbs.

I had the blinker recall done; had LED’s and no hyper flash issues for me.

I hope to have the fuel pump recall done next week.

I got mine For my tundra TRDpro and my wife’s Highlander done in like September... they both took like 2-3 hours to do no big deal.... I haven’t gotten any notice for my Supra yet

I got the notice, but thought I could just get it done before they sent the second letter follow up stating the fix is ready. No luck for me.

My recall letter arrived a couple days ago, called stealership, they have no parts. They told me that Toyota hadn’t released any parts yet. They will follow up with another letter when parts are available.
Seems crazy to send letters out for something your unable to repair....

If its a big concern for anyone needing a fuel pump, just replace it with a kit from URD. I went with the aeromotive pump and it only ran about $240. Higher output than the stock and you can bypass the internal filter and it comes with an external filter to install.

The fuel pump recall had been out for 9 months.... All they have to do is order the new pump and it takes a couple weeks. I did my truck 4 months ago. The 2 Tundras I purchased for at work both had the recalls in them. I called the dealer and they said we will order the parts. 2 weeks later the new pumps came in, we dropped both trucks off to be done the same day.

Not sure at all why they say there is no remedy yet. I believe Toyota is trying to control how many vehicles come in at once. They let a set amount of vin numbers per week/month become available for the fix 400k vehicles are not coming in at once to try to get remedied with the supply issues suppliers are having.

I hear ya.....it just has me worried now that something could go wrong. But so far my truck seems to run fine.

    I'll look into it!

    Yep that makes sense.

You can definitely hear it, but I really like that, makes troubleshooting easy if you ever have it fail. It puts out more gpm, and bypasses the internal filter, mine had all kinds of nasty stuff come out of it, it had to be hindering performance. Id rather have an external filter I can change any day than internal filter that gets filled over time.

Very cool. How many miles should the internal fuel filter last? I’ll probably go this route when mine gets older.

They say its lifetime but mine had alot of stuff come out. Given it had like 200k on it at the time. But still, it can get full and reduce flow

I was on URD's website and saw that they also offer the Magnuson SC which will come with a new fuel pump - out of curiosity do you know if URD has an actual shop that can do installs and tuning or are they just an internet only business?

Just checked again...only have the turn signal recall. Whew. I'm done checking for the fuel pump until I get a notice. Hopefully I escaped the recall.

According to the FAQ on the Toyota website here: https://techinfo.toyota.com/techInf...echinfo/html/prelogin/docs/cp/20TB02tofaq.pdf -- they are estimating mid-march 2021 as the time period of availability for the remedy on the Tundras added to the list on Oct 28, 2020/Dec 18, 2020.

I'm curious -- I keep reading about the fact that there is an ECU update that may or may not correspond with this fuel pump recall TSB, I wonder if that is what is also holding up what they are doing, and it's more than just a parts supply issue. I'd have figured that the countries where they are producing the replacement fuel pumps would have figured out their issues by now, but of course that doesn't mean the entire supply chain is free of issue.

Regarding the "piece-meal" addition of vehicles to the recall list, I'm pretty sure pump-wise this is just trickle-down from Denso communicating with Toyota lot codes of pumps that are "defective".

I'm in the process of buying a used '19 DCLB which the dealership cannot release because of the recall. I just heard from the salesman yesterday and they're expecting Feb/March.

I had mine done back in august. Call in July they ordered and then made appointment for august. Actually feel the difference when changed. Also got a paper slip saying the recall was done from
The dealership for emission purposes in California just in case dmv needed it for registration purposes. Got my letter back in may. Maybe it’s when your car was produce. Mine a 2019 built in October 2018

Would you mind elaborating more on "feel the difference when changed"? Did you by chance also see an increase in fuel economy and performance?

Same here I'm in Canada and was surprised when they told me that Toyota is working on a fix for the fuel pump, while other folks have had it fixed months ago.

This really sucks, for both parties (dealership and you). Hopefully they can replace the fuel pump as soon as it's available.

I'm dealing with my own "first-world" dilemma, I am waiting on Magnuson to receive their CARB E/O for the 2019 supercharger kit, but also want to make sure that I get this recall done before they do that. I am also questioning whether my ECU is going to be updated as part of the recall remedy and @OVTune is going to have to crack the latest version for VFTuner, hence leading to further delays trying to get the supercharger installed on my truck... oh well. (The Magnuson 2019 kit uses OV)

Very frustrating all around. Since this recall is across several models the dealerships have to be tearing their hair out trying to sell used vehicles.

Good luck on your end, I'm sure it will be worth the wait in the long run.
