My 2007 DCLB wont start. It has power, the remote unlock works and all the lights come on, but won't crank when I turn the key, I just get a check engine light. The red anti theft light by the clock is blinking.

I disconnected the battery and cleaned and tightened the connections and got the same result.

    Any ideas?

Sounds like your battery has a dead cell. Use a voltmeter to check the battery voltage (engine off). Full charge should be minimum of 12.6V. Batteries with dead cells will not maintain full charge, and they do not have enough power to crank the engine.

Hopefully it's just a battery. Unfortunately I don't have any tools with me as I am driving this truck home from purchasing it. I can get some stuff from Lordco in the morning, so I'll have to try that.

Get the battery load tested. Lakeman is right, you also need the CCA's.

Thanks guys, it was just the battery. I need new bolts for the clamps on the cables, but a new battery fixed the problem for now
