New here and just looking at all of your rigs. I just installed the Cali-Raised Sliders. I did order the the two inch wider step, not sure on that decision yet. I do use it as a step and thought the additional width may offer more protection. But initial impression is that it bumps into my calves at the oddest place.

Checkout them out. Great company to deal with, order delivered ahead of schedule by a few days and everything bundled up and safely delivered with no scratches or dings.

    Nice!
I have their narrower “trail” version without the top plate and love them.

Install took a little longer than I anticipated due to working around gas tank. It took about 2.5 hours. There was not real rush and it was pretty cold. Could be done in two easy.

Nice. Did you pop all these nubs off the frame? Or maybe drill them out? I thought they might pry off with Vice Grips but they sure don't seem to give up easily. Asking for a friend.

Don't want to do that. Tundras have a C channel frame. These nuts and bolts hold two C channels together (think of it as a C within a C) along with some spot welds.

Well good thing I asked! Thank you. I assumed (incorrectly) that these would come off to allow the slider to press up flat against the frame.

Those rivots are accomodated for in the fabrication of the rails. The "nubs" are simply straddled. Actually not an issue at all. The only hurdle is the gas tank. And even that for those more mechanically inclined could be a non issue.

I am down with the virus right now ..... but I will crawl under the rig and get some more photos. I wish I would have tracked entire process for you guys. Couldnt be more simple straight forward design.

Looks sweet without the caps. I was undecided but thought it may protect rocker panels a little more and provide good footing. Have any of you guys had to hijack your rigs using the sliders? do you think they are capable?

I think you have to buy the weld on version, not the bolt on version to use with a lift.

for the wkor sliders, you can hi lift no problem. I have drilled 5 extra holes on each side for the sliders to be mounted on the frame. it's not going anywhere.

I haven't tried, but I'm sure you can use a Hi-Lift on these no problem.

i had some serious reservations about welding the sliders on. seemed like a job for extreme qualifications and the chance of accelerating the rusting of my frame.

This is not true. Many brands of sliders are able to be used as a lift point without welding them to the frame, C4 Fabrication, SDHQ, WKOR to name a few. Many have a drill and no drill option. If you choose not to drill You probably shouldn't use them as a lift point. The Shrockworks sliders I had on my 4Runner we bolt on with mounting points drilled into the frame in two places and I used them as lifting and recover points without issue. I would caution you to follow the recommendation of the manufacturer.

OP, thanks for sharing. I've been torn between these, CBI, and C4 Fab sliders.

And here are the RCIs, I just put the driver's side on today. Man alive I cannot get the last bolt into the frame by the gas tank, I might need to grease one of my kid's hands and have her reach up in there. :)

Sliders look great! Do you have any pictures of the side view of the truck? does the sliders sit flush with the frame?

Sorry to say mine are rusting already! Not too happy about it. I installed them on the 21st of December. Ive contacted them and havent gotten any resolution from Cali Raised. We shall see. I am not the type to bash them or pound them online, but I will let you guys know how this is handled.
