I like but I think I'd rather spend the extra and get a decked system.

Don't THINK they would. Best I can remember, they come pretty much all the way back where the tailgate closes.

I think they are supposed to be, but i took them off before testing them out. I do know that the "cooler" box has a drain plug in the bottom.

I'd definitely sell them but I'd think the only option would be pick up . . . Shipping would be a nightmare. . .out the roof

What’s the width of the bed with those in? Wide enough to fit a pallet still?

I'll keep it in mind. . Talking about it with another member but not sure if it'll work with his cover. I'll keep you posted. . Shipping will probably be ridiculous however.

For what its worth. No they are not water tight. Get a little water in them each time it rains.
Yes a pallet will still fit in the bed with the boxes installed. 50” between the boxes.
Just got a Trail Edition in October. Currently trying to figure out how to install a hard tri fold without modifying the boxes at all. Looking at the MX4 and the Armour Flex. Got some lo-pro clamps from Truxedo that I believe will work.

Post something up if you do figure something out. I have the Rough County hard tri-fold and wouldn't be against putting the boxes back in if it will all work.

I just picked up some Truxedo clamps part # 1117459. Come as a pack of four. Ordered two so I would have three for each side. I’m hoping they will work to hold the rails of the MX4 or Armour Flex in place. From what I’ve seen, on other post, these are the clamps that come with the Truxedo PRO X15. That cover has already been installed on a couple trail trucks without modifications at all.
Will let you know for sure once I try it.
    Have a Happy New Year!

If you expect these storage bins to be used for storing items of value or anything else, you will not like them. I have them on my 2021 truck and they leak water. After a rain there was about 2 inches of water standing in them. After a car wash, there was 4-6 inches in them. They are not usable for storing anything unless you want it to get wet. I am fighting with the dealer right now to get my money back on the bins or a trade for under seat storage.

They list for retail at $700. A lot of places are selling them for $550-595 as a sale.

I just swapped Tundras for a trail edition and as such, mine came with these boxes. I'll be trying to find things they work with or ways to make them work.

Right from the start, I noticed that if you aren't opposed to trimming the bed ends of the box off, they're still compatible with bed stiffeners. This doesn't affect the storage bin at all, just the trim at the end.

Also, as @kevans63 mentioned, I don't believe they're water tight either. Mine were filled with water when I bought it.

My tanneau cover fit with no issues other than a bolt that needs trimmed in order for the bins to open. This cover never let water in so I'm assuming that with it installed, none will get in the storage boxes. Time will tell on that one.

This is the bolt that needs trimmed. Trimming about an inch should make it work and still retain full functionality.

They don't appear to be and agreed that you would expect them to be. Mine had water in when I first messed with them. I removed the drain plugs and since haven't had any trace of moisture inside. Then again, it hasn't really rained much. If it weren't winter, I'd use the hose to test them.

I'll take some photos of the seals on the lids tonight. I'm not sure if mine need broken in but I find the lids take some effort to close properly.

Thanks for the info, I really like(d) these, but who the heck wants leaky storage bins?
