Interesting read....wonder why Toyota chose to limit production of the Tundra instead of another model.

Don't know but just when they were getting inventory back up this happens. Maybe used prices will start to go back up if this persists.

Very interesting article. Makes sense about the laptops flying off shelves. Crazy stuff

Probably because they sell half as many as the Tacoma for not much more money. And probably since next year's Tundra is all new there won't be a need for an abundance of this years truck and that low inventory for the '21 model could make it easier to sell the '22.

I was at GM yesterday test driving a new Yukon and they're also dealing with a reduced supply and a sharp increase in demand. They weren't exactly clear why production had slowed but people are buying cars like crazy. They only had two Yukons on the lot, both Denali, and they typically keep over 20. Every Yukon coming down the pipe was spoken for, customers are buying them sight unseen. Strange times

Depending on how many models the same chip is used for, could be because they only sell the Tundra in North America, while other models are sold worldwide?

I mean, I suppose this is better than it was, say, 6 or 8 months ago, when they had nothing on the lot *and* demand wasn't all that high.
