Looking at adding Elka suspension all around to 2019 CM with the front set at 2.5 - 3". Regardless of how I choose to slightly lift the rear whether it be shackles or add-a-leaf I'm looking at wanting level or slight rake. Now if I set everything up and have said level or slight rake, in 6 months or 5000 miles how much do the higher end coilovers settle. Either Fox, Elka, King etc I've heard of some settling of the front end and don't want to spend $300+ on Coachbuilder shackles and in 6 months need to spend it again on the next size up. Just wondering how much settling did you guys get after installation?

With good springs, any settling should be minimal and just stuff falling into position so it shouldn't be a drastic change. Regardless, with the higher end coilovers they're adjustable, so even if it does settle considerably it's 10 minutes with the tire off to lift it back up. And it's not like it settles to a higher position, so I don't know why you'd need to spend money on different shackles. Worse that happens is the front lowers a bit so you get more rake, and then you adjust it back to what you want.

What do you mean next size up?

Coachbuilder makes shackles with varying amounts of lift, +1(.625in of actual lift), +2(1.25in), and +3(1.75in).

Why would you go up if the front settles?

I have no idea, just re-read the original post and I am just as confused as you right now.

Absolutely correct, I should not have said up. I just meant changing shackle size. Basically all I was looking for was how much in terms of 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 inch drop are people seeing after break-in of their coilovers. "Snivilous" pointed out I can just adjust the coilover after break-in but was just planning for what was to come. I was hoping to almost max out the Elka so that does not leave me with much adjustment.
