Deal on drivers side grab handle?

If you are looking for light grey then those are correct. You will need 3 other parts if the dealership doesn’t have them. Most likely not. I bought the additional mounting parts at Lowe’s. There’s a few posts on here on how to install. I have extra hardware if you or anyone else on here needs it.

Oh man that looks great. I had an 07 CM and didn’t realize how much I used that handle getting in and out. Light gray is what I need. Thanks again. I will pick up those pieces this week from good Ol Ace!

Exactly! I had an 08 CM. After it was rear ended, I went to the dealership to buy the ‘19. I reached in to grab the handle...purely out of habit from the 08. I grabbed nothing but air and almost ate it.

Your part number for the pillar is off....should be 050 not 060....the 060 is the pillar without the second mounting hole. Ask me how I know! (I learned the hard way!)

 

Whoops, you are right and I unfortunately missed that when I told the @JerryH that his numbers were right. I missed that my packing slip has the 50 and not 60. Sorry about that! Good catch!

Some apparently didn’t have a good experience, but I still stand by the experience and price I got with MegaZip. Took a few requests back and forth to get a discount enough to cover their shipping increase due to COVID, but I got it quickly and cheaper than anywhere else I could find.

 

Just get one on eBay from a 2nd gen. Half the price. Get the u-nut clip from any auto parts store. That's what I did, $70 and 10 minutes install all said and done, and it was in brand new condition

Only difference is that you need to notch this tab where it goes over the wiring with a pair of snips or a utility knife

 

I got mine from sparks Toyota.

 

Just ordered from sparks.... pricey little fucker but I think it will save my steering column from getting loose due to being a hoist point for my fat ass.

McGeorge has always been awesome from my experience. They've even auto-corrected part number errors for me and called to let me know within minutes of orders.

 

I'm right there with you. Best parts service I've ever had with Toyota and I've been buying stuff for over 35 years.

 

Sparks was $196 with shipping to California. Yes, pricy, but all parts in one box and excellent instructions online posted for conversion. If you next to a junkyard you get it most likely for less, but I do not have currently the time and patient to hunt this down. Local Toyota dealerships are not used to price haggling and so will never match an online price.
Took overall around 30 min to pull, off old cover, cut the new cover at the footing to make room for cable, and install the handle with provided screw and u-clip bolt. So much easier to get in now in and out from the lifted truck

 

That’s why I got mine from Sparks. It has all the stuff with the arm pull needed.

 

Going to order parts for this but wondered if anyone has put this on a 2021, order says it does not fit my CM?

Also, my interior is "Graphite", I assume the part labled "Gray" will match?

I put it in my 21 with no issues other than trimming the extra plastic where it meets the dash.

Just bought this from megazip since sparks is OOS and don’t want to lose the chance to get it. I am curious if two things will airbag be impacted at all by this? Curious why it would be removed in the first place. Second since these are mounted using the u nut rather than metal mounts like in the 2nd gen which these were made for, is it still very sturdy? Also does it loosen up over time from using it and putting stress on the u nut ?

 

no and no

airbag was in the trucks (07-13) that had these installed.

mine (and other members) have been installed for years and not loosened one bit.

 

These will not loosen whatsoever- the install uses the existing mounts the handles were bolted to before Toyota removed them. You’re just adding the handle back on where it was. I believe they were probably removed due to crash test results where some heads were bouncing off the handle in some scenarios.
