Check the build link in my signature.
Got my write-up finished on the Media/CarPlay USB port relocate.
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/caseys-2021-trd-pro-build.77317/page-6#post-2038892

I left the factory port where it was, and instead re-worked the wiring so that the factory port is now another charging-only port (can be easily reverted back to stock). There are two USB ports in the console in place of the original 12V socket, with one being the new Media/CarPlay port, and the other being charging only.

Id go back and hit everything again with the torque wrench. Sometimes you need to re-tighten after the hardware has had a chance to “relax”.

Have icon 2.5 shocks and icon tubular UCAs. This is the 2nd location i have gone to that sucked.

I am thinking of ordering the SPC or the billit adjustable UCAs and having a truck shop install and align with new tires all at the same time.

I don't think you need to change your setup, I think you just need to change the guy doing the alignment.
Maybe more adjustment on the UCAs would help, but unless you have the Icons maxed out and spacers on top trying to get too much out of it you should be able to get into specs.

This is the 2nd time Firestone has failed to align my truck and this was a different location than the last time that really screwed it up. I don't want to have to go every week for a month and sit there for 2+ hours every time. I am just bit the bullet and pay the $100+ some of the truck shops charge for an alignment. Not really trusting the truck shop I had to take it to the next day after Firestone made my truck feel unsafe back in May.

The alignment was done at a mavis tire and they have a sign that upon request and proper eye protection customers are allowed in the shop.

The tech allowed me to watch and was very conversational with me while performing the alignment. Told me he was making the necessary adjustments to compensate for the added lift height.

The vehicle tracks perfectly straight now along with the wheel being dead level on the highway.

    45C2905D-609C-4927-A4B0-DB66A64EC7F2.jpg

Prior to the alignment I was also experiencing steering wheel shake, this did not go away after the alignment, which made me unhappy.

Brought it back and they checked the balance of all four tires. Turns out one of the rears was 3oz off, shutter gone.

Nice setup. Do you mind me asking where you got your switches from? The rear light switch seems to match the factory blue. Looking to get a switch that matches as close as possible.
    Thanks!

Awesome job Casey, looks great...running wires in that area can be a pain… Excellent install!

In Mississippi and lower Alabama, in my whole adult life, I have never heard anything positive about ANY Firestone location. I consider them the Yugo of automotive shops. Never heard of Yugo? There's a reason - their cars sucked worse than anything else available. My sister keeps believing in Firestone, though, even when she has to take her vehicle back multiple times for every issue she has. I know individual franchises/shops will vary, and there are likely one or two god ones out there. But I have just never heard of a good one locally to me.

Mavis may be OK in other places, the Mavis just down the road from me is full of crooks. They told my teenage daughter she needed new rotors on her Camry. No vibration or other issues. She called me before approving the work (I trained her well!) and we got a second opinion (my own visual inspection) and then a third opinion from a shop that has earned my trust over the years. The rotors were fine. Some of the guys in the shop I trust (Fausak Tires in Daphne, AL) had worked previously with the guys at Mavis. They were not surprised and said there was probably a corporate push to sell rotors. Again, a single shop shouldn't define your opinion of a whole chain. But just make sure you understand enough about vehicles to keep them honest, or get second/third opinions.

    *long post, I'm sorry*

This has been more then today, but I wanted to share most at once. Super happy to finally have done some fun truck stuff. Most has been extremely affordable but ya gotta start somewhere!

I had some 3d printed vent rings that I sanded down before painting blue and clear coating. Also got a Funko Pop Jayne Cobb that I attached to a plate that is held magnetically to the dash. I also got the TVD radio decals to add some blue.

    20210109_173908.jpg
Got some ColorLugs that added some nice blue to my wheels but left me wanting more. Thanks to @AlmightyCrash he had decals for my wheel centers. Couldn't be happier now.

    20210102_150836.jpg 20210102_150829.jpg

The big one that took time was painting the tow hooks. When I removed them I noticed some minor surface rust (other threads on this) so I had to clean up the attach point on the frame too. Weather is bad so I haven't seen them in daylight yet but I'm really happy so far.

I just put the same light in. I'm tossed between the amber and white. I left the amber in for now and might switch. The photos make them look brighter than what they seem to the eye, wish the amber was a bit brighter.
