Took an unplanned trip up for some afternoon/evening snowboarding with my daughters. Mt. Hood in all its glory from Timberline.

Ever hear of "hair ice" or "feather frost"? It's a thing.
Taken in my driveway this morning...I was seeing spots of it all over the sides of the private road we live on. At first, I thought some assholes had been tossing trash out the windows, but it was everywhere. I'd never seen it before today, though I've seen needle ice and hoar frost many times. It is actually "growing" out of old rotten sticks and branches on the ground.

    WTF?

Lately I avoid Atlanta at all cost including time and convenience. I will go down a dirt road in Putnam County (which really doesn't sound like a bad idea) to avoid that hive of filth.

La Jolla or Oceanside. I haven't been down there in years though, so just a guess.

Nice! We've been there a few times to visit friends. They were pig farmers way back in the '80's then transitioned to broiler chickens.

Bought our jet skies one time and took them over to Shawnigan Lake. We were expecting to freeze or butts off but were pleasantly surprised at how warm the water was.
